This area offers much so more than what is listed below. There are great views of Lake Superior and the iconic Aerial Lift Bridge. The Lakewalk pedestrian and biking path hugs the shoreline and connects the Canal Park Duluth District to the city parks, beaches, and downtown. You will also find plenty of shops, restaurants, and breweries to take a break!
Drive across the Aerial Lift Bridge, and you will find a 5 mile stretch of narrow road set along side Lake Superior. Park your car, and enjoy the sandy beach that stretches the entire length of the road. Mike and I enjoy looking for sea glass.
The Aerial Lift Bridge is an iconic piece of Duluth. Be sure to spend some time in Canal Park, watching the the bridge raise for cargo ships to pass under. You can drive and and even walk over the bridge.

One of the best places to get food in Duluth! We often make more than one trip when we are in the area. Specializing in Smoked-fish but also offering artisanal smoked meats & a full menu of gourmet sandwiches.
Favorites: Club-Haus, Pastrami Mommy, Smoked Salmon with Dill

This Italian option is great for lunch or dinner. They also have a large selection of wines.
Normally you can visit the ship for a standard tour but visit the ship on Friday the 11th, from 6:30-10:30 PM and see the annual haunted spooky tour! We recommend purchasing tickets beforehand.
Farm-to-table menu with several Vegetarian, Gluten Free, and Vegan options. We have enjoyed breakfast, brunch, and lunch here several times.
A casual spot for burritos, tacos, and other fresh Mexican near the university. They are also apart of the Fitger's family, so you can enjoy those beers on tap. Otherwise have one of their famous margaritas. The Pineapple Pork Quesadillas are awesome!
A romantic Italian restaurant with an incredible view of Lake Superior. We suggest you make a reservation if you can!
A classic greasy spoon, breakfast spot. This was a frequent place for Amy and her college buddies to visit on Sunday Mornings.

Looking for a classic Irish Bar? You've Found it! Go to this spot for a Guiness on tap, wide selection of whiskeys, and other Irish favorites. Play darts, pool, or shuffleboard while you're at it too! Really want to have a fun time? Ask for a Ugly Betty Shot ;)
Also located in the Twin Cities, but if you are from out of state, and looking to try something new, this is the spot!
Visit Enger Park and climb to the top the 80-foot Enger Tower to take in one of the best viewpoints of Duluth.
Dine in or get it your food to-go, this is fantastic BBQ in the West Duluth area near our venue. If you decide to dine in we recommend making a reservation, as they tend to get really busy. You can't go wrong with whatever you decide to order. We recommend ordering family style so you can try a little bit of everything.
Tip- Get it the food To-Go and then head over to Pent Paddle Brewery across the street!
Enger lofts is also recommended as a place for lodging during your stay. Below the lofts are several small businesses that are open to the general public. These are a few that we enjoyed during our stay:
North & Shore- features local goods of the North shore. We could spend hours looking in this shop at the art work alone!
190 Coffee & Tea- This is a great coffee shop across from Pent Paddle in the Enger Lofts Building.
Goat Hill Marketplace-This spot is a chefs dream! A small market filled with locally sourced goods in addition to specialty kitchen items, and treats.
Locally sourced, organic, comfort food available for breakfast or lunch!
Hard cider made in Duluth, and gluten free. Be sure to try their seasonal flavors!
Love ice cream? Check out this spot! Require non-dairy? Don't fret they serve vegan Ice cream! They also have a location in the Canal Park area.
A Duluth staple. Craft Brewery with a wide selection of beers. This is a really fun spot to hand out in side or outside on their patio in the summer. If you want to try something different try the Nitro Cold Press Black Brew. If you are interested in CBH/THC seltzers try our their newly opened Can-A-lounge just a block down the street!
Craft brewery and now making wood fire pizzas. They also have a nice patio too!
Hard cider made in Duluth, and gluten free, infused with lots of different flavor profiles!
You will not regret making the trip to Two Harbors. Enjoy hiking through this state park to see the beauty of these Falls!
