Chris and Amy linked up through a dating website in 2019. They exchanged roughly 10 text messages back and forth and nothing ever came of it.

Fast forward to 2021, Chris saw Amy on the dating website, Hinge. Realizing he still had her number, he texted her. Their text messages quickly turned into essays. Amy knew she had to meet him quickly to see if the conversation would be like that in person. They soon met at the Flowing Tide in Sparks on May 27, 2021. From then on, they were inseparable.

When you know you know, and Amy and Chris knew. Three days after they met, they made their relationship official on May 30, 2021.

Amy, being the concert lover that she is, bought tickets to see Nate Smith at the Carson Valley Inn on May 27, 2023, two years from the day they first met. Little did she know, Chris already had a ring and was carrying it around for the right moment since it was their anniversary that week. Nate Smith started to talk about a song he wrote for soulmates and began to sing his song titled, "I Found You." Chris, broken leg and all, knew it was the perfect moment, got down on one knee and proposed to Amy. Obviously, she said yes, otherwise you wouldn't be reading this!

Chris and Amy truly did find each other. Though it took years to finally meet, they knew from that moment on their story was going to be something special. They found each other, not once but twice, proving that what's meant to be will always find its way.
