Our ceremony AND reception will be at Amy’s family’s camp (what Yoopers call their cabin) on a private, inland lake in Ishpeming, Michigan
How do I get to the wedding?
We will be bussing ALL guests to and from camp, with shuttles returning to Marquette starting at 830pm in 30 minute intervals
What do I pack?
For the wedding: no stiletto heels and bring a sweater or jacket if you get cold easily
It does get chilly at night and in the early morning, packing a pair of jeans, long sleeve shirt and/or sweatshirt, and a warm pair of socks is recommended!
It should be warm and sunny during the day, so normal summer clothes are perfect and don’t forget a swimsuit!
Why are there so many hotel options?
The hotels are listed by proximity to the waterfront/downtown area! The Hampton inn, the Landmark Inn, and the Fairfield inn & suites are all downtown Marquette and walkable and/or bikeable to most restaurants, bars and even some beaches in the area. They are listed in order of most walkable
Of note: these tend to be pricier peak summer than the 3 other hotels listed that are off the highway
The hotels located on US-41 would most likely require a rental car to get around and explore Marquette
Can I Uber or Lyft around town?
NO! There is one local taxi service, and maybe 1 or 2 operating Ubers in the area, so do not plan on depending on ride share to get around town
