"Negative Ghostrider the pattern is full"

We could have met (and might have but can't remember) multiple times over the past 25 years due to a mutual connection (Amy's cousin and Brett's friend Brandon) but it wasn't the right time. God was preparing two very independent people for each other.

"You two characters are going to Top Gun"

25 years later a random friend request led to an opportunity for us to meet and watch our favorite movie "Top Gun" and the sequel at McGregor Square and a Rockies game later that night. Sitting through the rain and hail multiple times bonded us quickly.

"I feel the need, the need for Speed"

First date, 2 days later...talking all the time, meeting the families, rockies games, church, camping, etc and the rest is history.

"Take me to bed or lose me forever" (Calm down, best quote for the engagement haha)

On December 5th, Brett surprised me (completely) and proposed while we were preparing to play each other in Fantasy football that week. Every week throughout the season he had changed his name to something having to do with his opponent so as we were making dinner he asked me how much he was projected to beat me by and when I looked it up his name had been changed to "Will you Marry Me?" and he was on his knee with the ring. Obviously I said yes because we're saying "I Do" soon!
