Chris and Amy had known each other for years through their families, but their story truly began in 2020. When Amy needed her car window fixed, she brought her car—and a case of beer—over to Chris’s place. The connection was immediate, and after a few months of getting to know each other better, they started dating.

Over the next year, Chris transformed Amy into an “outdoorsy girl,” something she never would have considered herself before. Every free weekend since then has been spent exploring and embarking on adventures. These adventures have included trips to the lake, camping, fishing, hiking, skidooing, snowshoeing, skiing/snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and so much more.

On May 15, 2023, Chris and Amy purchased their first house together. This was also the day that Chris proposed. Amy had an inkling that this was coming, but after a fancy dinner out and a stroll along the river (in very high heels), she started second-guessing her intuition. When they arrived back home, their backyard patio lights were lit up, and there was champagne on ice waiting for her. Chris popped the question in the backyard of their new home, and Amy, of course, said yes!
