It all started with a question at 4:30am, "do you wear socks to bed?"
They met online, via the app Bumble. Women message first, often times asking a question to start the conversation. Tim didn't realize he had left his phone on the previous night, so it was to his surprise when his phone went off that early in the morning. Pre-COVID, Amy woke up at 4:30 to start her day, so there was nothing abnormal to her about such an early text. A date for dinner was set at Breckinridge Brewery. The night ended with plans of second date, and the last first kiss for us.
Through the next 10 months, Amy and Tim traveled throughout the area, including South Dakota, Moab, Houston, TX, Syracuse, NY, and all throughout Colorado. Amy and Tim have enjoyed hiking, running races, snowhoeing, and camping. They have also enjoyed quiet nights in their shared homes.
Tim proposed to Amy on December 21. He was very sneaky, saying he needed to go out and buy a Christmas gift for his father. Upon returning home with a lantern filled with flowers, and the ring, Tim thrust the lantern at Amy and blurted out, "will you marry me?" You could say Tim was nervous; it was a memory Amy will cherish forever.
