We’re so looking forward to celebrating with you in Queenstown! Whether you're coming from the North Island, Australia, or all the way from Taiwan: thank you for making the trip to join us. Below is everything you need to know about getting to our venue and around town.
✈️ Getting to Queenstown
From the North Island (NZ):
There are daily direct flights into Queenstown Airport from Auckland and Wellington with Air New Zealand and Jetstar. The flight takes around 1.5–2 hours. We recommend booking flights early, especially for the busy holiday season in December!
From Australia:
Direct flights to Queenstown are available from major cities like Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. The flight takes about 3–4 hours depending on where you're coming from.
From Taiwan:
There are no direct flights to Queenstown from Taiwan, but you can connect via Auckland, Sydney, or Melbourne. The most common route is flying to Auckland (via Singapore or Brisbane), then taking a domestic flight to Queenstown.
🚗 Getting Around Queenstown
Queenstown Airport is just 15–20 minutes from the town centre by car or shuttle. You can catch a taxi, book an airport shuttle, or use rideshare services like Uber. Rental cars are also available, but not essential if you’re staying centrally.
💒 Getting to the Venue – Stoneridge Estate
Our wedding will be held at the beautiful Stoneridge Estate, just 15 minutes from Queenstown’s town centre, overlooking Lake Hayes and the Remarkables.
On the Wedding Day:
We’ll be arranging a return shuttle from Queenstown township to Stoneridge Estate and back, so you can relax and enjoy the celebrations without worrying about transport. Shuttle times and pick-up locations will be confirmed closer to the date.
🏨 Where to Stay
We’ll be staying near the Boat Shed Café area, it’s a beautiful spot right by the lake, conveniently located between Frankton and Queenstown township. If you're not sure where to book, we recommend looking for accommodation near us or around Frankton, especially if you're planning to hire a car, as these areas generally have better parking options than the town centre.
Some areas to consider:
Boat Shed Café / Frankton Track area - Peaceful, scenic, and close to where we’re staying
Frankton - Handy to the airport, supermarkets, and parking is much easier
Queenstown town centre - Great for walking to restaurants and shops, but can be busy with limited parking
