Important Shuttle Information Please note that the wedding shuttle, a yellow school bus will be leaving from the lobby at the Quality Inn, Old Saybrook at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 23rd, to the Essex Train Museum. From there you will board the train to Deep River Landing for our ceremony.&nbsp; Starting at 10:30 p.m. the&nbsp;shuttle will begin its first pick-up at the Essex Train museum, and will continue doing&nbsp;pick-ups and drop-offs until the final shuttle at 11:30 p.m. when our wedding concludes.&nbsp; We can't wait to party the night away!

Rocky Neck State Park&nbsp;is about ten minutes away in Niantic off I-95N on Long Island Sound. The park offers beautiful beaches, hiking and picnic areas.Devils Hopyard State Park&nbsp;has wonderful hiking and mountain bike trails and is about twenty-five minutes north in East Haddam. We have more information about other nature and outdoor areas within a half hour drive from the inn.Fox Hopyard, both a private and public golf course, is located a short drive away from the Bee and Thistle and offers the opportunity to play on one of the most beautiful golf courses in Connecticut. Thankfully the world seems to be returning to normal. We will be monitoring all government regulations and will keep all of our guests updated if anything changes. We are asking that ALL guests that choose to attend our wedding are fully vaccinated. As much as we want everyone to be there to celebrate with us, the safety of our family and friends is of the utmost importance. Unless the state changes its regulations, we likely won't require our guests to wear masks but we encourage each person to do what they are comfortable with. We know that everyone's comfort level is different, we love you all and respect whatever decision you make in regards to attending our wedding. If you are unable to join us in person, we look forward to celebrating with you when all of this is over.

Your dinner options are Beef Bourguignon, Stuffed Chicken with Cranberry Orange Glaze, Pan Seared Salmon with a lemon-dill butter glaze, and a Vegan "Beef" Wellington. Please let Ana or Bill know ahead of time if you have any specific dietary restrictions or allergies.

Shoes?

Heel wearers, beware: You will need to climb into a train car, climb down out of the train, and walk on some gravel. We recommend thicker heels (or no heels so you can dance the night away) as opposed to stilettos.
