Ouray is located in Southwest Colorado, about a five-and-a-half hour drive from Denver. Though the drive is very stunning and highly recommended, at least once, we don't expect everyone would want to make such a trek. The city of Montrose provides a very close airport to fly into and is about a ~47min drive from Ouray. Please consider flights to Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) when booking your air travel.
Ouray is a small mountain town with a population of about ~900. Once you're in town, there won't be a lot of driving as most things will be walking distance (a few blocks only). If carpooling makes sense, we recommend that as well! We will make the guest list public once you have RSVP'd, so feel free to reach our to a friend and make plans together. There are a few shuttle services that provide transportation between Montrose and Ouray as well. A couple are listed below:
- All Points Transit ($4 one way from Montrose to Ouray)
We recommend staying at the Twin Peaks Lodge. You will have access to its hot springs pools, spa, Tiki Bar, and restaurant. It is also where we are staying (from Thursday, June 27th- Monday, July 1st)! Packages on 2-day or multi-day bookings are live and there is limited availability. This includes a discounted rate with credit towards the spa and restaurant. They do not have hotel blocks. Ouray is a very popular spot in the summer and we recommend booking ASAP!!
