Just kidding. Although Ana and Ryan only have eyes for each other now, this is not how their story began.

Ana and Ryan first met on July 3, 2016 in the dark sticky depths of Dockside, a seaside nightlife location in Newport, Rhode Island. Ryan was visiting his longtime friend (now Best Man) Nick when the pair ran into Nick's upstairs neighbors, Ana and her roommate/bestie (now Maid of Honor) Shannon. The group walked home from the bar together and Ana and Shannon invited Ryan and Nick up to their apartment for a nightcap, despite having an early ferry to Block Island in the morning to celebrate the 4th of July.

Not realizing the boys' affinity for late night conversation and debate, Ana and Shannon were practically begging them to get out when at 3:00 am Ryan and Nick were still in their kitchen discussing the various plot points of the 2014 science fiction thriller Ex Machina.

Somehow, Ana and Shannon got them to leave and still woke up in time to board their 7:00 am ferry to Block Island, only after ducking down past the boys' front door with a talent only James Bond himself could match to avoid them tagging along.

And that was it. Or so Ana thought. It wasn't until months later that she and Ryan would cross paths again. Even then, it took a forgotten name, a bad first date, and an endless amount of eye rolls from Ana for the couple to decide to seriously pursue one another in June of 2017.

Since then, the rest is history. The two ended their medium-distance relationship when they moved in together in 2020, brought home baby Truman in 2021, and were engaged at Newport Folk Festival in 2022.

Although both the late night habits from Ryan and eye rolls from Ana continue, the two could not be more excited to continue their story together. 2024 will be their biggest milestone yet, and they cannot wait to celebrate it with all of the people who witnessed the first few chapters being written.
