Ana and David met in the summer of 2008 when Ana's family had invited David's over for dinner one night. The fact that David's father and Ana's family were all from Northern Ireland is what initially inspired the invite. Both families hit it off and became very close in a short period of time, spending birthdays, holidays, and vacations together. The favored vacation spot for the Finlay's and the Scott's was at the beach in Hollywood, Florida. Every year the families would make the journey down, David and Ana would grow closer and closer. Very soon they considered each other best friends and some of their fondest memories were of their times at the beach. Eventually, David finished high school and began to travel the world. Ana finished two years after and began to travel too. Ana went on a mission trip to Europe while David was wrestling in England. They came back from their journeys and realized their feelings for each other. They talked things over and decided to wait and see how they felt after David got back from Japan, as he was pursuing a wrestling career there. After David's first trip in Japan, Ana and him started dating. Most of their first year together would be spent away from each other but they managed to make things work and make the most out of their limited time spent together. Time flew by and soon enough David knew Ana was the one. After talking to asking for her parents blessing, David took Ana to Pensacola, Florida to ask her to marry him. He wanted a place that had a lot of importance to the two of them and remembered all those great memories they shared at the beach. After doing some searching, he found a beach with no buildings and no people and knew it was the perfect place. On May 9th, 2017 at Langdon Beach on the Gulf Islands National Seashore, David and Ana took a walk at sunset and David dropped to his knee and asked Ana to marry him... and she said yes! So now the two of them are planning their special day and can't wait for you to be a part of it!
