Two people arrived at SIUE on June 11th 2019, looking for nothing but guidance on their burgeon college careers. What they found, and more importantly, who they met, would become the most impactful discovery of their lives.


Ana and Jack were introduced by Anas roommate, Melissa, who had met Jack shortly into the springboard to success activities. They spent all night together as a group, ate breakfast the next morning, and then went their separate ways, no idea what was in store for their relationship.


Jack returned home to tell his mom all about this girl he had met, and how she was the kindest and most wonderful person he had ever met. A few months went by and school began in earnest. The two quickly became inseparable. Jack quickly became the person Ana could count on, laugh with, and share the little things in life with. They ate lunch and dinner together nearly every day between and after classes. Jack recalls sitting in the study lounge of Anas dorm hall, staring at her, and knowing in his heart that was his woman. However, Ana was his best friend, and he didnt make a move as he didnt want to lose their connection. Though as time passed, and these two spent more and more time together, their connection became undeniable. Day after day, they hung out, they went out to dinner, ice cream, and the movies, until they couldnt hide their feelings anymore. One day while watching a movie at Jacks apartment, after being in love for many months, he couldnt wait any longer and kissed her. Much to his pleasure she did not refuse the kiss, and the rest is history.

Dos personas llegaron a la universidad el 11 de Junio de 2019, buscando simplemente un poco de orientación para empezar su vida universitaria. Pero lo que encontraron —y, más importante aún, a quién conocieron— terminó siendo uno de los momentos más importantes de sus vidas.


Ana y Jack se conocieron gracias a Melissa, la roomie de Ana, quien había conocido a Jack al inicio de las actividades de orientación en la universidad. Pasaron toda la noche juntos en grupo, desayunaron al día siguiente y luego cada quien siguió su camino, sin tener idea de lo que les esperaba.


Jack volvió a su casa y le contó a su mamá sobre la chica que había conocido: dijo que era la persona más amable y maravillosa que había conocido en su vida. Pasaron unos meses y empezaron las clases. Rápidamente, Ana y Jack se volvieron inseparables. Jack se convirtió en alguien en quien Ana podía confiar, con quien reírse y compartir las pequeñas cosas del día a día. Casi siempre almorzaban y cenaban juntos. Jack recuerda estar sentado en la sala de estudio del edificio de Ana, mirándola, y sentir en su corazón que ella era la indicada. Pero como eran mejores amigos, no quiso arriesgarse y arruinar la conexión que tenían. Sin embargo, después de pasar tanto tiempo juntos, ya era imposible negar lo que sentían. Día tras día salían, iban a cenar, a comer helado, al cine... hasta que ya no pudieron seguir ocultándolo. Un día, mientras veían una peli en el departamento de Jack, después de estar enamorados en silencio durante meses, él no aguantó más y la besó. Para su suerte, ella no lo rechazó. Y desde entonces… el resto es historia.
