Enmanuel:

Welcome to “The Pedro and Anaisa show”. Where the story begins in 8th grade. Alphabetical seating brought them side by side, a match made by the school system. Fast forwarding to the madrugada of April 12th 2009 where these teenagers shared a moment that became the start of forever. Now 15 seasons later, they’re doing it all over again, this time with witnesses, a lot more love, and much better timing.

Capturing 15 years of a love story is no easy task. I have gathered headlines to tell their story in the boldest way possible. We can start with my favorites, “The one where my sister finds love” or "The one where Pedro leaves everything behind, crossing state lines for love. Pedro you literally said, ‘You gotta spend some time love, you gotta spend some time with me,’ a song lyric that I'm sure will hit harder after this. You, Mr. Lumbraño, speak volumes. Now let's revert our focus on the bride to be. Anaisa Lua. “The one who avoids the spotlight but somehow always ends up in it”. She is impossible to ignore. The middle child effect has no impact with that one. Now wait a minute, “The one where she turns love into an art that crafts unforgettable moments” is where you get a glimpse of how much love she has to offer.

You two are definitively bound for the possession of each other's hearts. In the end, couples that fart together stay together.

Emidia:

When I first discovered my brother had a girlfriend, it was in the most unexpected way: he wrote a giant “A” on his room wall. My mom, ever the optimist, thought it was for her name, but little did she know it stood for Anaisa. I think this was back in his high school years, and it felt like a playful secret that hinted at something deeper.

The moment I realized he was truly in love came a bit later, when he made the significant decision to move to Denver at just 19 or 20 to live with her. At that point, I had only met Anaisa a couple of times, so I didn’t yet have the chance to really connect with her.

Our first trip to Colorado changed everything. Being there with my mom, I got to see firsthand what a wonderful person Anaisa is and how beautifully she complements my brother. It warmed my heart to know he had someone as kind and genuine by his side, someone who would take care of him just as my mom and I would.

From that visit, it was clear to me that these two were meant to be together. I could see their bond, and it filled me with joy to imagine their future. I found myself eagerly anticipating the day my brother would take the next step and put a ring on it. Their love story has been a delightful journey, and I’m grateful to witness it unfold.

Ivan:

When Peter met Annie

I remember when Pedro first started showing interest in Anaisa. I feel like he didn’t want to admit that he was obsessed but only that he had a strong interest. But as time went by I remember seeing the amount of times he used to go out of his way just to even get an in person look of her or to have conversation with her. I quickly realized that this wasn’t obsession, this was his true one and only. And Pedro would do whatever, whenever, just to keep Anaisa happy. And I’m glad to know that 15 years later or so, they’re still living happily together.

Johanna:

A Gage Middle School Love Story

Anaisa and Pedro is a love story that began at Gage Middle School. Two teenagers sitting in alphabetical order (Lua & Lumbrano) without a clue of the amazing adventure that awaited them. An adventure that has withstood the test of teenage hormones, distance, and time. They always find their way back to each other regardless of the challenge. As teenagers, their commitment to one another was clear to everyone around them. Meeting every day at the Huntington Park library after school just to spend extra moments together, to figuring out bus routes, or planning their days off just to hangout.

As the years together have gone by, their love has grown stronger, turning those early butterflies into a solid bond. It’s so inspiring to see how the foundation they built as teenagers still holds strong today. Proving that their love can handle anything life throws their way. Now those once-teenagers are amazing adults who have tackled big milestones together - moving into their first apartment, adopting Roger and Nova, graduating college (together), buying a home, and now getting married. Their ability to embrace change and trust each other really shows just how deep their love goes.

I love hearing about the little things they do to nurture their relationship even after fifteen years of them being together . Whether they’re checking out new coffee shops or hunting for hidden treasures at thrift stores, they always find joy in being together. And going to concerts? That’s definitely one of their favorite things to do, right up there curling up with a good book. I believe that all the shared adventures, memories and growth just add magic to their beautiful love story. Can't wait to celebrate another pivotal moment of the Lua Lumbrano love story.
