Growing up, Matt spent a lot of time at his aunt and uncle's house in&nbsp;Galveston. His cousin Lauren had a close-knit group of good friends, the best of which was&nbsp;Ashley, who also spent a lot of time there. As a result, Matt grew up friends with her as well.

Fast forward to college years. Analyn meets that same&nbsp;Ashley while&nbsp;working at Carrabba's in Austin. As they became friends,&nbsp;Ashley realized she'd found a match and&nbsp;wanted to set Analyn up with her best friend's cousin, even showing her a picture of him to which Analyn's response was, "He looks...funny."&nbsp;After meeting Analyn herself, Lauren also&nbsp;started talking up Analyn to Matt.



















But they never met. Until finally in 2014 at Ashley's wedding in Galveston.



















Analyn (as well as Matt's cousin Lauren)&nbsp;was one of the bridesmaids and Matt was fortunate enough to be invited since he'd known Ashley for so long.&nbsp;As usual&nbsp;Matt was running late but made it to Sacred Heart Catholic Church&nbsp;just in time. As he ran down the aisle to find a seat with his family near the front, he shot a flirty&nbsp;wink and pointed his fingers at the row of bridesmaids across the aisle since he knew several of them. This time, Analyn's response was different:&nbsp;"WHO is THAT?" she said to one of the other girls, flustered. "That's Matt." Analyn obviously thought he looked way less dumb now than he did in a picture she'd seen years before.



















They finally met face-to-face at the reception and hit it off immediately. They spent most of their time together that night, even bar-hopping after the reception till closing time. Unfortunately - and we don't speak of this - Analyn was&nbsp;unavailable at the time.



















Over the next couple years they remained friends and even hung out a few times, but not much more than that.



















As luck would have it though, in late 2016 after it'd been a while since they'd seen each other,&nbsp;both Matt and Analyn finally found themselves single at the same time. And of course who else but Ashley was the reason they reunited.&nbsp;On a Saturday in October she'd planned for a group that included the two of them&nbsp;to go to the ZiegenBock Music Festival, which featured several Texas country artists. Matt and Analyn rekindled their friendship instantly and had a night that they'd never forget as that day kicked off the beginning of their relationship.



















They didn't waste much time taking things to the next level after that, and since then have had an amazing time together along the way. The next several months were filled with lots of fun and lots of love.



















On July 4, 2017 - Analyn's 30th birthday - at Matt's family's beach house in Galveston&nbsp;amongst family and friends, after lighting off tons of fireworks (one of Matt's favorite activities since he's basically a child), Matt made Analyn light the big one they were saving for the finale on her own. When she came running back to him, he was ready with the ring in his pocket and proposed.



















Today, Matt and Analyn thank God every day for putting them together and they can't wait to unite in&nbsp;His love&nbsp;in front of their family and friends.

Reception Time: 6:00 PM

Though the ceremony starts at 2, the reception doesn't start until 6. We want everyone to know that the ceremony isn't required (except for parents and&nbsp;the wedding party, sorry y'all) since we understand that a full&nbsp;Catholic wedding can be a lot to sit through&nbsp;– especially for our non-Catholic friends.

However if you do plan to attend the ceremony&nbsp;we want to make it clear that the reception starts at 6 which leaves a little downtime in between. During this time&nbsp;please feel free to change into something more comfortable and casual if you'd like&nbsp;– like Matt, who will be getting outta his suit pants and into a trusty ol' pair of jeans as soon as he can. 

At the reception we'll have dinner, drinks, dancing, drinks, cake, drinks, and games out in the yard like cornhole and washers.

We've reserved a small room block at this hotel for Friday and Saturday night. The discounted rate is $119/night for a single or a double. You can reserve a room on the block by clicking the button below or by calling them to make a reservation and letting them know you want to book on&nbsp;the "Roiz-Porto Wedding Room Block."

For now there's only 10 rooms on the block. If you try to book on the block&nbsp;after&nbsp;they're all taken, they'll&nbsp;add you to the block&nbsp;as long as there's availability. The cutoff date is April 18.
