Our story begins in 2021… both 26, picking life back up after a crazy year of covid and time spent finding ourselves with our closest friends and family. We were both ready to find that special someone and, like many couples of our generation, connected for the first time on a dating app called Thursday.

We met for our first date on June 4th, 2021, at a small neighborhood bar in Chelsea not far from our wedding venue called Crown Alley and immediately hit it off. We often look back on that date and the comical hoops we dove through to impress the other. Thankfully bunnies were not a red flag for Anders.

We quickly discovered many of our common interests – a love for Colorado blue-bird ski days, time spent at the beach or on the lake surrounded by family and friends, watching Survivor and other guilty pleasure reality TV shows, sports and the pint of beer that goes with it, the list goes on. But above all else, we understood that we were going through a lot of firsts together and had the other to lean on along the way.
