Andre and Fana’s love story began in the summer of 2022 when they formally met at an event called Brown Sugar, introduced through a mutual friend. Though they had known of each other since high school, growing up as Portland, Oregon natives meant their paths had crossed many times before.

At the time, Fana had just launched her esthetician business, and during their conversation that day, Andre immediately booked an appointment to show his support. Interestingly, Fana’s sister had already remarked earlier that year that she believed Andre and Fana would make a perfect match, even claiming she “manifested” their relationship. Andre’s brother, Marcus, also takes some credit for bringing them together!

Their connection was effortless and without pressure, as they focused on building a genuine friendship before pursuing a relationship. Through God’s grace, their bond grew stronger, and the love they shared soon became undeniable. As business owners, they supported each other’s goals and dreams while sharing a mutual desire to build a life together and start a family.

On July 3, 2024, Andre took the first step toward forever by visiting Fana’s parents to ask for their blessing to marry their daughter. Fana, unaware of his plans, was busy at the gym. The next day, Andre and Fana visited their favorite spot, Maryhill Winery on the Vancouver Waterfront—a place they regularly enjoyed with Andre’s cousin, Aaron.

When Fana arrived, Andre asked her to meet him at the pier by the water, where Aaron was waiting. Everything felt like a normal day until Andre suggested taking photos. As Aaron captured the moment, Fana turned to find Andre kneeling behind her with a ring in hand.

It was a beautiful and unforgettable proposal, marking the beginning of their forever journey together.
