For those who don’t know, Andrea and Francisco's love story began back in 2009, during their 7th grade year at Bateman Elementary. At first, Francisco was a bit mean to Andrea— teasing her, making jokes. But as the years would prove, his playful antics were his way of showing affection because, deep down, he liked her. What started as a simple friendship blossomed over time. They spent countless hours talking, staying up late into the night, texting about everything and anything. They discovered a shared love for similar things, but what truly bonded them was their mutual admiration for family. Both Andrea and Francisco understood the importance of family and how deep the connection ran, each with a sibling on the Autism spectrum—a unique experience that made their bond even stronger. But life, as it often does, took them in different directions. The summer before 8th grade, Andrea had to move and transfer schools, and with that, they lost contact. However, despite the distance, Francisco never truly let go. He’d reach out from time to time, and the two would meet up to catch up on life. For the next decade, their paths would cross every now and then—never quite the right moment, but always a reminder that they shared something special. Then came that one unforgettable night in March of 2020. It was the middle of the pandemic, and Andrea, a little tipsy and with a spark of courage, slid into Francisco's DMs. And Francisco? Well, he couldn’t resist. That simple message sparked the reunion that would change everything. They decided to quarantine together. What started as a simple decision to spend some time together turned into something neither of them could have anticipated. In just one day, they realized what they’d always had—what they’d always felt—was so much more than a friendship. They had found something deep, something that had been waiting to unfold for years. Looking back, Andrea and Francisco realize that there were so many moments along the way when they could have rekindled their relationship, but God’s timing was perfect. Their love story is a beautiful reminder that life’s timing is always in His hands. The twists, the turns, the waiting—all of it brought them to the right place at the right time. Their love isn’t just a story of two people coming together—it’s a testimony of faith, patience, and trusting that everything happens for a reason.
