At first, they were strangers on the internet, but little did they know that the best thing they ever ordered online was each other.

Ken and Andrea matched on Hinge in 2020, and their story began with a first date on December 20, 2020. Ken, a college instructor and graduate student working at a bank, and Andrea, a dedicated professional in a healthcare company, found an unexpected connection amidst the uncertainties of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their first date was supposed to be at a fancy Italian restaurant, but in true pandemic fashion, it ended up in an igloo at Granite City in Troy, MI, where they chatted until closing time—that night marked the beginning of a beautiful journey together.

Over the years, Ken and Andrea navigated life's ups and downs, including job layoffs and new opportunities, always supporting each other through thick and thin. Their relationship blossomed as they shared their passions and nerdy interests—Ken's love for politics, science fiction, and fantasy, as well as Roman History and Andrea's passion for Theatre, sewing, and Renaissance Festivals.

After two years of laughter, adventure, and growing together, Ken proposed, and Andrea said yes. Now, they're excited to start the next chapter of their lives together, surrounded by family and friends.

It has been three and a half years since they were strangers on the internet, and they now have a lifetime to look forward to.
