Our love story began in geometry class at Mary Carroll High School. Andrea was a sophomore and I was a freshman. I remember the first time I saw her she had a blue highlight of hair and I had to know her name. She sat in front of me and I had to look over her shoulder just to learn it! A friend helped break the ice and told Andrea that I thought she was cute. After talking for months, I wanted to ask Andrea to be my girlfriend but she beat me to it! To my surprise, she showed up to school and gifted me my favorite book, ‘Bottled Up’, during passing period. Within the book she had written “will you be my boyfriend?” So excited, I of course said yes and our relationship continued to grow. I remember making her peanut butter & jelly sandwiches for lunch almost every day in high school! We dated throughout high school, college and the beginning of our careers. Finally, late last September I got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with me - and here we are! We are both so happy for this next chapter of our life and are beyond excited to celebrate with all of you soon!

Jonathon and I set out to Estes Park, Colorado last September. We absolutely love it there! The hiking, the beauty, and a week of date nights! On September 22nd, Jonathon drove us out to start our second hike of the trip, Bridal Veil Falls. After an almost 4 hour hike and over 15 thousand steps we were engaged! Now, before I actually spill on how he proposed I have to speak on the pre proposal Jonathon gave me years ago. It was maybe on my 18th birthday that Jonathon gave me a little gold ring box with a note inside that read:
This box is empty … except for the fact that it contains a promise … a promise that one day I will put a ring on your finger … and make me and you forever! I’d do anything for you Andie. I love you. I will always be good to you. You are the love of my life and it will always stay that way. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you!
I did not think that anything would ever top that note, but I am so glad I was wrong. Okay, back to the story! After hiking for hours and passing a few smaller waterfalls we finally made it to Bridal Veil Falls! It was amazing! I couldn’t wait to take a picture with Jonathon to freeze the moment in time. Jonathon asked me to sit up on this rock. He began to ask me if I loved going on adventures with him, I smiled and started to tear up and replied “yes.” There he was, down on one knee with nothing but the sound of the waterfall and asked me if I wanted to go on adventures together for the rest of our lives. I said yes and began to cry, then ring in hand he asked me if I would spend the rest of my life with him. It was the easiest yes of my life! He put the most beautiful ring on my finger and I felt like I was on top of the world! We ended the hike with delicious pasta salad on the bed of his truck.
Love,
Andrea
