Do I need ID to enter the facility

YES, ALL INDIVIDUALS MUST PRESENT PHOTO IDENTIFICATION FOR ENTRY INTO WEST POINT. Driver’s licenses from the states of Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, and Washington are not acceptable forms of ID to enter West Point *At the Thayer Gate all visitors over the age of 16 will be asked to furnish a valid photo identification such as; a current valid driver’s license or passport, or school ID (must be school-age). Acceptable forms of identification for adults over 18 include: driver’s licenses, a US passport, Department of Defense issued identification card, a permanent resident card/Alien Registration Receipt Card (1-551), a foreign passport with a temporary I-551 stamp or visa or an employment authorization document that contains a photograph (Form I-766). Visitors with driver’s licenses from Minnesota, Missouri, and Washington must use one of the other approved forms of identification to enter West Point.

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Black tie optional. Dress to impress!

Can I bring a plus one?

While we would love to accommodate everyone, we have made arrangements based on the confirmed guest list. Therefore, we kindly request that our invitations are for named guests only.

Are children allowed at the wedding?

To allow for an evening of uninhibited revelry, we are having an adults-only (21+) celebration.

Are there any accommodation recommendations for out-of-town guests?

The hotel itself will have a block rented out for guests, as well as several accommodations listed on the travel page. The travel section of our website also provides information on how to book a room at Thayer.

Will there be vegetarian food options available?

Yes, there is a vegetarian pasta option that will be offered to select on your invite.

Are there any specific parking instructions for the venue?

Complimentary valet parking is provided.

Are there any specific guidelines or restrictions for the use of cameras or phones during the wedding?

We kindly ask that the ceremony, and other special moments, contain no use of phones, so the photographer and videographer can capture people living in the moment.

What time should we arrive for the ceremony?

We recommend arriving 30 minutes before the ceremony to get accommodated and comfortable.

Will there be any special accommodation for guests with disabilities?

Yes, there are multiple access points for guests with disabilities to get to all locations.

Is there a rain plan in case of inclement weather?

In the event of inclement weather, the event will take place inside.
