Our love story began in the summer of 2022 with a simple online connection. Two people genuinely looking for something real. Andrea came across Albert’s profile and something told her to check it out. Not long after, Albert followed up and our first few messages quickly turned into hours of conversation, laughter filled phone calls, and a connection we both felt immediately.
Our first date was virtual, but we treated it like something special. Andrea got dressed up like she was going out for the evening. Hair, makeup, the whole thing. And Albert showed up, just like he said he would. That night set the tone for our relationship, built on intention, effort, and follow through.
After a couple of months of dating online, Albert knew he wanted more. He booked a flight from Houston, Texas to Greensboro, North Carolina to meet Andrea in person. One of our most memorable dates was at UNC Chapel Hill, touring the basketball museum and grabbing dinner at Mama Dip’s. Later that same trip, during a wine tasting at Rock of Ages Winery, Albert asked Andrea to be exclusive.
We dated long distance for several months. We were both working from home at the time, which gave us the flexibility to fly back and forth between Houston and Greensboro to spend time together and build our relationship in person.
One year into our relationship, Albert made a bold move to Greensboro to be closer. Two years into the relationship, on December 22, 2024, we got engaged.
Now we are preparing to say “I do” and step into the next chapter of our lives together. Our story is proof that when two people are aligned in purpose and faith, distance does not stand a chance. The rest is just the beginning.
