Our Story 

Sometimes, the best things in life are found when you least expect them. I think that's exactly how our story began. 
 
We were both invited to a low key hang out at the Fox's pool by different friends. Neither of us aware it was history in the making.
 
All it took was some pool games and flirty trash talk for some sparks to start flying. A few weeks later, we happened to meet again, but this time, we made it a point not to let something this rare pass us by. A first date turned into many, and the next thing you know, we were both falling madly in love.
 
Three years later, we're more in love than ever and can't wait to celebrate our special day with all of you. We're so excited to begin this next chapter of our lives together!

Leigh Ann first met the bride-to-be through their mutual friend, Tina. As fellow educators, she and Andrea quickly bonded over the daily shenanigans they navigate in their classrooms, often sharing memes and videos that reflect their true feelings. Their friendship grew through countless beach trips, kayaking adventures, wine sipping in downtown Swansboro, and some unforgettable girls' nights.

Andrea met Kelly through her friends Leigh Ann and Tina. Andrea began going to the same events as Kelly, and they hit it off. Kelly is a sweet and loyal friend, and since they met, they've enjoyed many girls' nights, camping trips, and sushi-and-wine outings at Lowes Foods.

Meeting&nbsp;at&nbsp;a&nbsp;pool&nbsp;party&nbsp;in&nbsp;2021,&nbsp;Alyssa&nbsp;and&nbsp;Andrea&nbsp;quickly&nbsp;became&nbsp;close&nbsp;friends.&nbsp;Over&nbsp;the&nbsp;years&nbsp;they've&nbsp;had&nbsp;many&nbsp;game&nbsp;nights,&nbsp;trips,&nbsp;live&nbsp;music&nbsp;events,&nbsp;and&nbsp;plenty&nbsp;of&nbsp;laughs.

One year around Andrew’s birthday, he invited Ashley and her now husband to his house for a birthday party. It ended up being a joint birthday party for him and his girlfriend, Andrea. Ashley had never met her before, but she had only heard great things. She knew she must be a saint (or crazy) to date her brother. They ended up having such a good time together, and they've been friends ever since. 

"She’s welcomed me into her friend group with open arms and is always there when I need her. I was so excited for her to be one of my bridesmaids when I got married, and I am so honored she has asked me to be one of hers. She’s the sister I’ve always wanted, and I can’t wait for it to be official in June!"

Ashley Siler

 Luba and Andrea met about 30 years upon Luba's arrival to Earth. From the moment Andrea laid eyes on her, she knew Luba would be her favorite sister. Lol, just kidding, but thank God they hit it off because they're kind of stuck together for eternity. Growing up, Andrea made Luba make her hundreds of sandwiches, and Luba did it with great joy. Nowadays, they just go to restaurants and pay people to make them both sandwiches. Luba is so happy Andrea met Andrew and that they fell in love so effortlessly.

Emma and Andrea met 20 years ago, when Emma was born. Over the years, Emma earned her spot as one of Adi's favorite sister by giving the best gifts, making her laugh, always answering her calls on rides to the dentist, and more. They've gone on many trips together including road trips to Atlanta and Charleston and a cruise to the Bahamas. Emma loves her sister very much. She's never seen Andrea so happy. She is so glad the man responsible for that happiness will soon be her brother-in-law.

Annie met Andrea when she was born. She always looked up to her, and wanted to be just like her. Andrea always took her on fun adventures, played games, and orchestrated the absolute best pool parties for her birthday that she'll never forget. She sees her as a strong, quirky, and beautiful person on the inside and out. As her sister, Annie is so glad that Andrea is thriving and loved by so many, especially by her.

Tina first met Andrea about 23 years ago as teenagers in Key West, and they quickly became lifelong friends. They have been friends through every chapter of their lives and always there to support each other in rough times and to celebrate accomplishments! 
Tina is so happy that Andrea has finally met the person she is meant to be with. She's never seen her best friend happier and more in love.

Charlotte met Andrea 7 years ago on the day she was born. Andrea has been her best friend ever since and always there for every important mile stone. Most recently, Andrea was there to hold her hand while getting her ears pierced. Charlotte loves their girl dates together to grab lunch and get their nails done.  She can't wait to be a part of Andrea's special day.

Long ago in a land far away (from Texas) Ben was summoned to a tailgate at THE North Carolina State University. It was Ben’s first semester there, so the friend group was beginning to form. Ben hadn’t been on campus long, but a soon-to-be mutual friend dragged him along to something he had not experienced before…a tailgate. He was told, “it could be fun” and “fun” doesn’t even begin to describe what Andrew and Ben had coming. Years have passed, states have been moved, and their friendship continues to be tested every time he says the guy in Call of Duty is “one shot” when he really isn’t.

Not a day goes by that reminiscing on the good times doesn’t remind Ben how lucky he is to know Siler. And now, not a day will go by that Ben is not proud of the man he has become and the family he will build with Andrea.

Ben Stroud

Scott first met Andrew in seventh grade while they were buying golf balls at the local Walmart for their middle school golf team. As they got to know each other, they discovered that their parents had both attended NC State together, a connection that seemed to cement their growing friendship.

Over the years, Scott and Andrew grew up sharing many activities, from wrestling and golf to marching band. Scott served as the drum major while Andrew played on the drumline, forming a bond of camaraderie and teamwork that extended beyond the field. Andrew was the best lead snare a drum major could ask for especially since Scott couldn’t keep a beat with shit.

Though they eventually went their separate ways—Scott heading to the Naval Academy and later joining the Marine Corps, and Andrew attending NC State and becoming an engineer. Through Scott’s numerous deployments and station assignments, Andrew made a point of reaching out and staying connected, ensuring their friendship endured the test of time and distance.

Jon and Andrew met during Andrew’s freshman year of college as suite mates at NC State.  That year was filled with “How I Met Your Mother” watch parties, storming the court at PNC Arena following a win over duke and cheater hill, and shaving everyone’s heads in the dorm rooms.  Football tailgates and house parties turned into Xbox parties after they graduated and moved states away, but the two always managed to find time to express their displeasure with NC State coaches on game day with each other.

Meeting Andrew in school was like finding a 5th tender in a 4 piece supreme box. He was a good guy that shared a lot of the same friends. He looked over at me in class one day, to find myself doing something dumb. He laughed like a hyena, signaling friendship. Every year grew us closer, from "truck stuff" and hangouts to golf. Honored is what comes to mind when thinking about standing next to him on his big day.

I met Siler in 2nd grade. I wasn't sure if I should eliminate him to prove who was the superior Andrew or become life-long friends with the same first name. Thankfully, I chose the latter of those two options.

Siler and I have been through everything from dumb teenage boy high school shenanigans, to the real life "trying" times, to now being blessed with the opportunity to take part in his wedding.

Through our friendship I learned that back in the 2nd grade I made the smart decision for the long run because I in fact had no chance of eliminating Siler because as time and time shows again in our friendship, he is in fact the superior Andrew and I am lucky to still call him my friend to this day.

Andrew Bird

I've had the pleasure of knowing Andrew for 15 incredible years. Our friendship blossomed in college, thanks to our shared love for NC State sports and, of course, a few too many drinks.



One of my favorite memories is the time Siler decided to slide down an icy hill on his bare chest. It was a sight to behold and a story we still laugh about to this day. And let's not forget the time he dumped a bucket of ice-cold water on me while I was in the shower – a story I still hate to think about. We even stormed the court together after NC State's epic win against Duke freshman year of college, celebrating like there was no tomorrow.



Through all the wild adventures and unforgettable moments, Siler has been more than a friend; he's been a brother, and I'm honored to stand by his side on this special day.

Connor

Lukas originally met Andrew at NC State and they later reconnected after moving to the Swansboro area. As a fellow golfer and bourbon connoisseur, they became great friends. Lukas now lives in Swansboro with his wife, Kelly, and their two dogs, Luna Tuna and Marlin. They all love to visit Andrew, Andrea, and their puppies, and have a great time hanging out together.

Long ago, Andrew experienced the greatest moment of his young life- locking eyes with Eddie. They were barely out of kindergarten, but destiny had spoken: they were doomed (or perhaps blessed) to be best buds for life. Together, they navigated childhood, collecting unforgettable memories- some heartwarming, some mildly regrettable. Their bond only strengthened into adulthood, where they continue to celebrate each other's highs and support each other through the lows- like their golf swings, which remain a tragedy to this day. Looking back, it's funny to think that a simple childhood friendship would lead to a lifetime of stories, laughter, and questionable decisions. But now, Andrew has found someone who gives him even better days than Eddie ever could- Andrea. While Eddie may have been one of Andrew's first lifelong friends, he knows Andrea is the one who truly completes his story.
