What if I’ve never traveled abroad or don’t have a passport?
We will help you organize your travel plans, just give us a shout. If you do not have a passport, it’s best to do this soon. Go to the link below to start the process.
The wedding is located about 1 hour away from Lisbon’s airport and 45 minutes away from Lisbon’s city center near a beach town called Ericeira. We think the easiest way to get there is to take a taxi (approx €50). If you wish to see more of Portugal during your stay you can also rent a car (you can use your US license) or use public transportation.
If you’re interested in renting a car, follow the link below for a good overview.
As always, we are happy to chat with you to land on what is best for you to get around.
We are taking over Alma do Paco and it’s sister hotel, Casa Paco D’Ilhas for the weekend.
Please note this is a rustic space and is often used for surf getaways and yoga retreats. While we think it’s the perfect backdrop for our wedding, there are accommodations in the area that range from 2 star to 5 star that can accommodate whatever makes you feel most comfortable.
Please see our Hotel Availability page to see more.
What about seeing more of Portugal?
We absolutely think you should! We fell in love with Portugal on our last visit and wanted to share this place with you. As you’ve come all this way, we recommend checking out Lisbon, drinking wine in Porto, kayaking in Algarve, and taking in the sights at Sintra. If you are unsure how to plan your adventure, we will be happy to help you organize and plan. Portugal’s train system is great and easy to navigate. Additionally, Portugal serves as a great entryway to the rest of Europe. Let us know what you are looking to do and we will happily help you set it up.
What about the registry?
No gifts are expected and we are just thankful to have an opportunity to celebrate with you. Registry details shared only upon request. Please let us know if you’ve put something in the mail as we have some mail/ package thieves.
What is ETIAS?
ETIAS is Europe's new visa system, now being implemented in 2025, so nothing to do before the wedding!
