Navigating Seattle with Link Light Rail:

From Airport to Downtown Hotel

Gliding into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA)? Skip the taxi queues and embrace the efficient, affordable Link light rail for your downtown hotel adventure! Here's your guide:

1. Find the Station:

• Follow the well-marked signs from baggage claim to the 4th floor.

• Cross the skybridge to the parking garage level (don't worry, it's accessible!).

• Head left through the garage and voila, you're at the Link light rail station.

• Feeling lazy? Hop on the free electric shuttle from the airport skybridge directly to the station.

2. Choose Your Stop:

Westlake Station: Perfect for hotels near Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square, and the waterfront.

University St Station: Ideal for hotels closer to the International District, Chinatown, and the University of Washington area.

3. Purchase Your Ticket:

• At the ticket kiosk, choose your destination (Westlake or University St) and purchase a single ticket (currently under $3).

• Pay with cash, credit/debit card, or your ORCA card (Seattle's regional transit pass).

4. Board the Train:

• Trains arrive every 8-10 minutes, so you won't wait long.

• Look for the correct direction: Northbound trains go to downtown Seattle.

• Find a seat and relax! The journey takes about 30-40 minutes, offering glimpses of the city skyline.

5. Disembark and Explore:

• Your chosen station is well-connected to downtown attractions and hotels.

• Use Google Maps or hotel directions to find your specific destination.

Bonus Tips:

• Download the Sound Transit Trip Planner app for real-time train schedules and fare information.

• Consider purchasing an ORCA card for unlimited travel within the fare zone during your stay (valid for buses, streetcars, and Sounder trains too!).

• Enjoy the scenic ride and soak up the Seattle atmosphere!
