Hello friends & family! Most of you know our story pretty well; however, for those who don't, our journey was set into motion in February of 2021 —we Texans refer to this time as “The Great Freeze.” I had just started my last semester of college at Angelo State University and Mason had recently moved back to San Angelo to finish out his degree.

After three, very long, months of being friends, Mason asked me out. And, it was on May 4th, that we finally went on our first date—where Mason did not hold back. He planned a beautiful picnic with everything he knew I loved, first sign he was paying attention. My favorite, being the playlist he made, titled “A&M;” which doubles as his favorite college team and our initials. The first song was “Older Women,” second sign he was paying attention knowing that I am 2 years older. The rest of the picnic was accompanied by the perfect songs and a beautiful sunset where he asked me to be his girlfriend.

An amazing 2 years later, Mason was ready to propose. A planned trip to Port Aransas with a few friends in August of 2023 would change our lives for the better. On the second day of being there, after we got settled on the beach, he wasted no time and asked to take a picture with me. As my sister, Olivia, was taking rapid pictures of us he got down on one knee and asked the most important question of our lives to date… as you all know, I answered YES!

Our love will bring us all together soon and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this special day with everyone. See y’all in June!
