There are 3 registry options. Please choose ONE. If you insist on more than one, you'll be required to spend EXTRA time enjoying yourself at the dinner/reception/dance party/campfire. Also you will be given extra smores, no excuses, no refusals allowed. If you insist on a traditional gift, don't worry, the REI registry has a bunch of stuff we want for ourselves, too. ;-)
Option 1: Give the gift of sleep and warmth.
Go to our REI registry and buy a sleeping bag, blanket or camping pillow for an out-of-town wedding guest. No gift-wrapping necessary but we'll make sure your lucky recipient introduces himself/herself to you at the reception!
(Camping supplies purchased by guests for your use in cabins are yours to take back with you, or they will be donated to Portland Rescue Mission, the Veterans Association, and the Salvation Army Female Emergency Shelter.) Note that some folks are bringing sleeping bags or pillows for you to borrow, but they'll need to be returned to their owners.
Option 2: Give the gift of honeymoon.
Go to the newlywed fund and help us fund an experience-of-a lifetime on our honeymoon in Vietnam and Singapore! Link will be available soon!
Option 3: Give the gift of time.
Come early anytime on Friday or Saturday and donate a few hours of your time before the wedding.
Volunteer to decorate someone's cabin for them. Get crazy! We'll coordinate logistics for you (aka we'll tell you which cabins to decorate), but you get to make it fun and cozy and bring either a hand-crafted or store-bought decoration or two to personalize it. Double check that, if they don't have a sleeping bag/blanket, one gets placed in their bed. Make sure they know who you are so they can come over to thank you at the reception!
Don't know how to decorate? Volunteer to be our emcee/iTunes master or volunteer to light the campfire and watch over it throughout the evening. Both these jobs still require you to participate and have fun, though ;-)
