His Story
I’ll never forget the day I first heard about Andrea. My good friend Terry called me when I was in Jacksonville for work and said he had someone he wanted me to speak with. Soon after I found out it was Andrea and we started talking. When we met up in person in Sanford for the first time, I kept thinking to myself “She’s beautiful!! How did I get so lucky!”
My favorite memory is when Andrea came to visit me and meeting the kids for the first time because family is so important to us both. We have so much in common and we both enjoy traveling. So far we’ve been to Ft Lauderdale, Florida, New York, Washington DC, and Las Vegas and that’s just this year! We also enjoy watching movies and cooking. I look forward to spending the rest of my life with her and our new family and watching the kids grow up.
Her Story
Derrick and I met through my first cousin Terry King in 2019. My cousin had a hip replacement and I volunteered to look over him for the day. Terry and I had a brief conversation about “good men.” Terry mentioned that he had a really good man for me to meet named Derrick. He then proceeded to tell me all about him, how he is hard working, very clean, owned his own home and car. I also found out about his two sons who I’ve grown to love and accept as my own.
Once we were introduced to each other, it was a few more months until we met in person. We met up at the Penske shop in Sanford. I’ll never forget when Derrick got out of his car and started walking towards me. He was smiling so hard at me, and said “you are so beautiful!” I couldn’t help smiling back and thinking to myself you’re pretty handsome as well. And the rest is history from there! Love at first sight!
Derrick proposed to me on my birthday on April 12, 2023 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. He said “Sweetie I only get down on my knees for the Lord, but I will kneel down for you!”
