Our Wedding

Andrew and Tia’s story began on August 27th, 2023, on a Sunday that seemed completely ordinary to everyone else — but quietly became the beginning of something extraordinary.  It was Andrew’s first time visiting Tia’s church. Tia noticed him immediately, not because he was loud or trying to get attention, but because of the way he kept glancing at her throughout the service. She kept thinking, Who is this guy, and why does he keep looking at me like that? But instead of feeling uncomfortable, something about his stare felt warm, gentle, and strangely familiar. It was the kind of moment that doesn’t make sense at the time, but later feels like fate’s first little nudge.  When the service ended, Tia assumed Andrew would slip out with everyone else. But instead, he walked straight up to her with confidence and the sweetest smile, introduced himself, and asked for her number. A few hours later, he texted her — and that one message from Andrew became the beginning of a conversation that flowed effortlessly for hours. From that day on, Andrew and Tia talked every single day. Morning, night, and everything in between. The connection was instant, natural, and deeply real — the kind of bond that usually takes years to build.  Their first date only confirmed what they were already starting to feel. Tia was so shy she couldn’t even look at Andrew without blushing. Every time he made her laugh, she turned bright red. Andrew kept the conversation going in the calm, patient, loving way that is so uniquely him. That day, neither of them said it out loud, but something shifted — they knew they had stepped into something meaningful.  But one of the moments that sealed everything for Tia happened during the first weekend they spent time together at Jones Beach. They were sitting together, talking and laughing, when Andrew looked at her with this deep, soft stare — the kind that made the whole world slow down. He kept looking into her eyes in a way that made her melt completely. Tia still says it was one of the moments she knew Andrew wasn’t just someone passing through her life… he was becoming home.  And then came the moment that still makes them laugh — the first time Andrew asked Tia to be his date to his brother’s wedding. At that point, they had only known each other for a month and a half. Tia was so nervous she could barely process it. She knew she would be meeting almost his entire family in one night. But she said yes anyway. And that wedding ended up being one of the sweetest early memories they share. Andrew stayed right beside her, introduced her proudly to everyone, and made sure she felt welcomed and safe. That night showed Tia exactly the kind of man he was: loving, protective, and completely sure about her even from the start.  As time passed, Andrew and Tia only grew closer. They supported one another through school, residency, long hours, late-night studying, stress, celebrations, and every moment in between. Their love wasn’t built on flashy moments — it was built on consistency, loyalty, deep conversations, honesty, and the quiet understanding that they had found something rare. They became each other’s best friend, comfort, and safe place.  Then came the day that changed everything: May 31st, 2025.   Andrew brought Tia to Old Westbury Gardens, a place that already felt magical. The flowers were blooming, the sun was soft, and the scenery looked like something out of a dream. Tia thought it was just one of their normal dates — she had no idea Andrew was carrying the biggest surprise of all.  As they walked through the garden paths, Andrew held her hand a little tighter than usual. When they reached one of the most breathtaking spots, he stopped, looked at her with emotion in his eyes, and told her everything he had been holding in his heart — how much he loved her, how certain he was of their future, and how she had become his entire world.  Then Andrew got down on one knee and asked Tia to marry him.  Tia immediately said yes, overwhelmed with gratitude and love. In that moment, every single part of their journey made perfect sense — the stare across the church, the shy first date, the early wedding invite, the weekend at Jones Beach, the long conversations, the laughter, the growth, the support, the faith, and every step that led them to that exact moment.  Now, Andrew and Tia are so excited to celebrate their love with everyone who has watched it grow. Their story is simple, emotional, and real — a reminder that the right person can walk into your life on an ordinary day and change everything in the most beautiful way.  And this is only the beginning of the forever they’re building together.
