WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We are asking that everyone dress up with us! We are calling it "formal", but this really means that suits and longer dresses or formal jumpsuits are preferred, so don't feel like you have to pull out a tux or ballgown (unless you want to! we would love to see it). We just ask that you please not wear jeans, t-shirts, or sneakers. We would also appreciate it if you could try not to wear white/white-adjacent outfits. LADIES - the ceremony will be on the front lawn of the barn, please plan your shoes accordingly.
WILL THE EVENTS BE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?
Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outside, on the front lawn of the barn. The cocktail hour will also be outside under an awning. The reception will be held indoors.
WHEN SHOULD I PLAN ON ARRIVING?
Please arrive between 4:00-4:15 as the ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30pm. Please feel free to sit wherever you would like!
WILL THERE BE TRANSPORTATION
Unfortunately transportation will not be provided, we ask you plan accordingly or carpool if needed. Ubers, Lyfts, and taxi services are available as needed!
IS THERE PARKING AT THE VENUE?
Yes, there is free parking at the barn! Please know if you plan to leave your car overnight, you will need to move your car to the parking lot next door, before the reception ends. Swingin' Things is a miniature golf course, next door to the Barn, that allows overnight parking.
DO YOU HAVE A HOTEL BLOCK FOR GUESTS? WHERE DO YOU RECOMMEND I STAY?
We have reserved 3 hotels within 5 miles of the venue . Please ensure to book hotel rooms by the allotted time to take advantage of the discounted rate. See the TRAVEL tab for more information on how to reserve a room.
However, if you prefer to explore other lodging options in the area, there are plenty to choose from!
ARE CHILDREN WELCOME?
While we'd love to see your littles and celebrate with them, our reception is going to be an adults-only event, with the exception of those involved in the ceremony directly and immediate family. If you are interested in hiring child care, for the day of, please let Andrew & Kerry know.
CAN I BRING A GUEST/DATE?
Your invitation will be made out to "{Your Name & Guest}" if a plus one had been given to you. We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
WILL THERE BE AN OPEN BAR?
Yes, there will be a cocktail hour and an open bar at our reception with various alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options. Please be sure to tip the bartenders! As the day of drinks are on us, the hangover is on you!
CAN I BRING MY OWN ALCOHOL TO THE WEDDING?
Absolutely no outside alcohol is permitted on site. In accordance with State & Local law, the Rustic Barn must handle all alcohol consumed during our event. Thank you for understanding!
WHEN/HOW SHOULD I RSVP?
Kindly RSVP no later than September 15th, 2024. You can RSVP by mailing in the RSVP card included in our invitation, or directly on this website (under the RSVP sub-menu). Whichever is easier for you!
WHAT IF I RSVP'd BUT I'M NO LONGER ABLE TO ATTEND?
Please notify Andrew/Kerry AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
CAN WE TAKE OUR OWN PICTURES?
There will be absolutely no phones or personal cameras during the ceremony. We paid good money for our professional photographers, please don't ruin the shot! Don't worry, we will share all of the professional pictures with all of you.
Once the ceremony is over, feel free to take as many photos as you would like!
WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?
The weather in NC this time of year is very unpredictable, so please keep an eye on the forecast. The high temperature can range from high 60's - low 80's, with the low temperatures ranging from high 40's - high 60's.
