Emily and Andrew’s love story began at Pine Cove summer camp, where they worked on staff together during the summers of 2022 and 2023. What started as a friendship quickly grew into something deeper as they served side by side, sharing in the joy of ministry and forming a strong bond through their shared faith and purpose. Their connection developed during their final summer at camp, when they both stepped into leadership roles and spent countless hours working together, encouraging one another, and growing closer.
After camp ended, their friendship blossomed into something more, and they began dating in September 2023. With Andrew living in West Monroe, Louisiana and Emily in College Station, Texas, their relationship began long-distance—separated by five and a half hours. Through phone calls, road trips, and weekend adventures, they made the most of every moment, intentionally growing their relationship with laughter, honesty, and grace.
Eight months into dating, Andrew accepted a job in Frisco, Texas, shortening the distance and bringing them one step closer to building a life together. Their love continued to grow, built on a foundation of shared faith, deep respect for each other’s families, and a mutual joy in simply doing life together. Whether it was playing pickleball, sipping coffee at local cafés, or just making each other laugh, they found joy in the little things—and in each other.
On March 1st, 2024, after a year and a half of dating, Andrew got down on one knee and asked Emily to marry him—and she said yes! In May, they finally wrapped up their season of long-distance and are now soaking up the sweetness of living in the same city as they prepare for the big day.
Soon, they’ll begin their greatest adventure yet—marriage. They’ll settle in Frisco, Texas, ready to embrace life as husband and wife. Surrounded by their dearest family and friends, they can’t wait to make a lifelong covenant before God and celebrate the beautiful journey ahead, hand in hand, hearts fully His, and full of joy for what’s to come.
