Old Government House and it's surrounding buildings in Parramatta Park are well worth a visit!!
Take a step back in time and discover Australia’s convict beginnings at this UNESCO World Heritage-listed site.
Located on Burramatta Dharug Country in Parramatta, Old Government House is the oldest surviving public building in Australia and one of 11 recognised convict sites that tell the story of Australia’s forced convict migration.
Wander through the elegant Georgian house, get up close to rare colonial furniture, textiles and homewares, and hear the real stories of convicts and the first ten Governors of New South Wales. Bring a picnic to enjoy in the surrounding parklands overlooking Parramatta River.
If you haven't been here and are interested in sport and a bit of local history this area is well worth a visit.
There is a bicycle hire place at Bicentennial Park. There are km's of walking and cycling tracks throughout Olympic Park and surrounds. Being October the area will be particularly spectacular with the Jacarandas flowering.

Bicentennial Park is a lovely park to visit and has some lovely walking and cycling paths, a natural wetland with bird hides, some ship wrecks and lots more. There is a bicycle hire place and a Cafe overlooking a large landscaped pond.
A great green space for a picnic but gets extremely busy during the day.
Nick and Nora's is a champagne and cocktail bar which brings the golden era of glamour and decadence of post prohibition soirees to the modern day. It is located on the 26th floor of a high rise with views overlooking Parramatta to the city and to the Blue Mountains.
