Krista and Andrew met in 2013. Despite having both gone to Iowa State University and participating in martial arts, they had never met. After graduation Krista moved back to Cedar Falls before attending Physical Therapy school at the University of Iowa. In March of 2013 she came back down to Ames for the Cyclone Martial Arts annual awards banquet. Andrew was still in Ames finishing school. At the banquet, Andrew's tie caught Krista's eye. "Hey, are those Santas on your tie?!" They were not, they were clearly roosters, but Andrew and Krista hit it off anyway.A few weeks later, Krista moved back down to Ames to live with some friends and work before school started in the fall. After many nights of David Bowie, breakfast flavored ice cream, and tree climbing, it became Facebook official.Andrew lived in Ames and worked in Urbandale, commuting most weekends to visit Krista while she was in PT school, for the&nbsp;next two and a half years before Krista moved back to Ames. In March of 2017, Andrew proposed while on a trip to Colorado. Spoiler alert: She said yes! Earlier this year, Krista and Andrew moved to&nbsp;Ankeny where they bought a house and have a new puppy named Jack. Krista is currently working as a Physical Therapist with McFarland Clinic and Andrew is working from home as a sales software consultant.
