Erika and Andrew’s story began in 2015 at a restaurant in Flagstaff, Arizona (shout out La Fonda—if you know, you know), where they both worked during college. From the moment he laid eyes on Erika, Andrew was (along with the rest of the staff) smitten. Though they became good friends during the years they worked together, their paths split after college, when Andrew moved to Washington, D.C. for law school and Erika went to P.A. school in Phoenix. Years later, when Erika had moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma for her P.A. school rotations, fate (and Andrew’s polite but persistent DMs) brought their paths back together again, and their love story began in earnest. After a short stint of long distance, they came to the decision for Andrew to move to Phoenix in 2023 to be in the same city. Since then, they’ve built a life together, with a community, careers, and a dog-child they love. In March 2025, Andrew walked Erika down a path of flower petals and got down on a knee, surprising her that evening with a celebration with their friends and family. They can’t wait to kick off their next chapter with a celebration in OKC, Andrew’s hometown, with the people that mean the most to them!
