Jacquelyn is the bride's older sister, who is always her biggest supporter and loving older sis! Jacquelyn, her husband, and their 7 cats are always a safe place for the bride to go to, a warm and welcoming home. Kristina would describe her as creative, authentic, and full of adventure. 

Mrs. Jacquelyn Guhl 

Rose has known the bride as since middle school and been a best friend throughout high school, college, and post-grad. She was her go-to travel buddy before the groom entered the picture! Rose is like a Disney princess in real life, always laughing, singing, and making others feel cared for. Kristina would describe her as full of life, love, and laughter, so easy to love! 

Ms. Rose Hill 

Lauren is the bride's oldest sister and an inspiration in every way! She watched Kristina grow up in every stage of life and was everything you'd want in big sis! She is always smiling and will make everyone in the room feel like a dear friend! She is a mother to 4 adorable kiddos and loves them with her whole heart. Kristina would describe her as warm-hearted, adventurous, joyful, and intentional. 

Mrs. Lauren Nelson 

Danielle is one of the bride's older sisters, who she has always looked up to. She is one of the coolest people you'll meet, with endless skills and creativity! Truly, there's nothing she can't do! She is a mom to 2 beautiful girls and raises them with an admirable love and kindness. Kristina would describe her as inventive, intelligent, and kind-hearted. 

Mrs. Danielle Watts 

Elizabeth, or Lizzie as we like to call her, is Andrew's younger sister, who has become a sweet friend to the bride. Lizzie is always smiling and full of joy, and an easy friend to love! She is also the best puzzler you'll ever meet. 

Ms. Elizabeth Hornok

Chloe has known the bride since elementary/middle school and remains one of her closest friends today. Chloe is full of creativity and is always the best dressed. She is also a world traveler, always ready for a spontaneous trip! 

Ms. Chloe Curlee

Mackey has known the bride since 1st grade and they have been inseparable since! They did school together all the way through high school and then both attended Samford for college. They have lived together for the last 7 years and getting married means an end of an era for these two. Kristina would describe Mackey as spunky, fun, musically-gifted, and always giggling. 

Ms. Mackey Williams 

Jillian and the bride became good friends at Samford, as they were both in the same sorority and headed for PA school. They attended PA school together and became even closer, through the trauma bonds of graduate school. Jillian has become one of the bride's dearest friends, having been there for her through thick and thin. Kristina would describe her as hard working, loyal, artistic, and an amazing athlete. 

Ms. Jillian Hart

McKenzie became friends with the bride on the first weekend of college, where they discovered they had played each other in club volleyball a couple years prior. They quickly became close as they took on the highs and lows of Freshman year. She has remained a close friend since that first day of college and now lives with the bride. Kristina would describe her as loyal, hard working, wise, and willing to do anything for the people she loves. She is also an amazing Physical Therapist, always doing the most for her patients. 

McKenzie Higginbotham 

Mara and Kristina became friends at Samford, when they were both on the same intramural volleyball team. Winning two IM championships quickly bonded the two and they have lived together for the past 3 years. Mara is a wonderful friend to have in your corner, always asking intentional questions and investing in those around her. Kristina would describe her as kind-hearted, selfless, and a good cook! 

Ms. Mara Casey 

Margaret is Kristina's cousin and they have grown up together, being very close in age. From putting on shows together as kids to going on yearly beach vacations to being lifelong friends, these two have countless memories together. She is the kind of friend you aspire to be like. The bride would describe her as intentional, loving, easy-going, and having a fierce love for the Lord.

The dress code is formal, but feel free to have fun with it! The wedding will have lots of green with hints of crushed berry, feel free to use that as inspiration or to do your own thing.

Travel Information

We are so excited for you all to attend our wedding and celebrate with us at the wonderful wedding venue! Here are a few travel details to assist you in planning:The venue is located in Section, AL with the closest town being 20 minutes away, Scottsboro, AL. There is a Hampton Inn &amp; Suites hotel block here attached to the Groux-Hornok wedding. There are also lots of cute Airbnb and Vrbo nearby, so feel free to explore that option. The rehearsal dinner will be in Guntersville, AL, a 35 mile drive from the venue. There is a hotel block at Home 2 Suites and there are a few apartment-style suites at City Harbor Suites. These are both a 2 minute walk from the rehearsal dinner. In your travel planning, we want to let you know that the drive connecting our rehearsal dinner and wedding venue takes guests through a beautiful state park. With that being said, please note that this stretch of road is unlit and can be quite dark after sunset. We encourage guests to allow extra travel time and to drive with caution. We want all our guests to arrive home safely!

These are apartment style suites in Guntersville, a 35 mile drive to the venue but located directly above the rehearsal dinner. They have a balcony on the water and are located in a sweet small town.
