When you think of the greats love stories, you may think of Romeo & Juliet, Shrek & Fiona, or even any Hallmark movie. But let me tell you about a young couple Andrew and Madison. Their story didn’t start with a forbidden romance or rescuing a princess from a dragon. It started at a multinational financial firm known as Fidelity Investments.

Only several short weeks and many ‘cute’ attempts to get her number… He had her Snapchat, which was a start. She was immediately obsessing over him or at least he says. After a couple of 4 for 4s at Wendy's and bowling date later, they were official.

Over the next several months, they traveled to Gatlinburg, Hilton Head Island, and even Indiana to party in a camper and drink a little too much Deep Eddies Lemonade. After that they had enough time away from each other. This extremely long distanced couple were tired of traveling 45 minute to only see each other 4-7 days a week. Madison packed up her bags and moved into Andrews apartment.

They quickly outgrew the apartment and needed to expand. Thus started what historians can only refer to as “The bad year in Ohio.” If you could ignore your AC going out in the summer, heat going out in the winter, moving into a 1 bathroom with a broken toilet seat, a patio door that leaked when it rained, a kitchen sink that would bring grey water back up it, a 7 week repair timeline for a broken dishwasher, or an (in use) electrical outlet actively leaking water, then it wasn’t that bad… It was safe to say, for Andrew and Maddie, this was their last apartment.

To kick off the next season of the Andrew & Maddie show, they bought a condo. So long landlords and the 82 year old maintenance man named Troy. Hope Troy is doing okay, he was getting pretty old. This was 2022, and Andrew was feeling good, it was the year of the tiger after all. Andrew pitched the food truck plans to Maddie and she flat out rejected it over and over. Spoiler alert, it did not happen. What did happen though was they earned a permanent vacation spot by the beach when Andrews parents decided to pack up and move to the Myrtle Beach area.

Just in the past year, some excited things happened. With many moving parts, extremely tight timelines, and many accomplices, Andrew proposed at sunrise on the beach to Madison without her expecting a thing! It was a modern marvel of engineering to accomplish such a feat. To round out the year, their family gained one new family member… and no it was not a child. Geez they aren’t even married yet. Dexter, their aussiedoodle, joined the family. He fake yawns and almost has an attitude as bad a Madison's (almost).

During the past 4 years, Madison was able to convince Andrew to try tons of new things too. Such as concerts, green foods, and even reality tv shows. Madison gained some new found confidence in her cooking abilities, she stopped backseat driving as much, still a lot though, but not as much, and even found an interest in some video games, what a gem she is. All that's left to do is convince Madison to buy a food truck… but that will come with time.
