Can I bring a plus one?

Yes, but please let us know when you RSVP so we can get an accurate headcount.

Can I bring children?

Yes! Please feel free to bring your kids along.

What should I wear?

Please dress in semi-formal attire. Dresses, suits and ties, polos, button ups, etc. Look good, but stay comfortable too!

What happens after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception hall where we will be serving finger foods and beverages

What is a baumstamm sägen?

Michelle was born in and spent the first 13 years of her life in Germany, and as such we will be partaking in a "Baumstamm sägen". This is one of the more rustic German wedding customs, which refers to the ritualistic sawing of logs by the bride and groom. The idea behind this practice is that sawing the log in tandem symbolizes the couple’s ability to work together in accomplishing tasks that take collective strength and a lot of endurance, as most marriages often do.

What should I do if I can't make it?

You will be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “No,” so we can plan accordingly

What time should I arrive?

We recommend that you arrive 30 min - 1 hr before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Unfortunately, we don't have a hotel block reserved. Lexington will offer the most in terms of airbnb's and hotels. Anything downtown or on the south side should be nice.

When is the RSVP deadline? And what is the best form of communication?

April 1. Please RSVP through theknot.com or send us a message.

Where are you registered?

We don't have one! No gifts needed! Your presence is your present.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Yes, feel free.

Didn't you two already get married...and then try to like two times after that?

Funny story: back when we started dating, one of Michelle's nurse friends, Stephanie Mahoney, offered to do a fantasy engagement photo shoot of us. I believe many were confused when those were put up on Facebook and Instagram, but we didn't actually get married then! Many of the pictures on this website are from that shoot (aren't they awesome?? ). And then about a year later, while visiting Michelle's good friends Trent & Jamil in Tampa, we accidentally sent a photo from a fancy dinner to Andrew's family chat that looked all too much like an engagement announcement - but, again, it was not so! So it's not surprising that you might be confused about our official status, as there have been many confusing red herrings. That said - in yet another twist - yes, we are in fact legally married already. As of April 11th, 2022 we were officially hitched at the Woodford County courthouse. Can't miss out on those insurance benefits! And THEN later that year, we had everything squared away to have the wedding when Michelle got COVID at her bachelorette party and so did every single bridesmaid. So we pushed it back to 2023, but THEN we just had to go and have a baby. Which is how we got here! Just please know, our real & true wedding would be incomplete without the blessings from and celebration with all our friends and family that will come on May 25th, 2024! We are looking forward to seeing everyone so much. We would push it back 10 more times just to see everyone together! But we really, really, really don't want to do that. For everyone's sake haha. Here's to finally making it happen!
