From Andrew: Leading up to asking Danielle to marry me was very easy, except for trying to hide it from her. We knew fairly early on in our relationship, where we thought this was heading. We never doubted where we would end up, only wondered how long it would take to get there. The hardest part for me was finding a way to get her family's blessing, purchase, pick up and hide the ring from Danielle.

I had a pretty rough idea of how I wanted to propose. Either early morning before the sunrise or during sunset, at the beach in Galveston, followed by either a day of fun on the island or a nice dinner, respectively. I knew my time was limited because Danielle was about to begin a long stretch of traveling for work, so our time would be fractured and at times inconsistent. As her first trip edged closer, issues arose. It was going to be hard to coordinate this trip due to weather, juggling of other responsibilities and trying to play it cool as if I wasn't about to ask her to marry me.

The weekend before I had planned to propose, we were sitting on the couch and I was restless. I was checking the forecast and felt my opportunity slipping away. We had just finished and episode, of probably, Below Deck, and I said "Get dressed we are going out".

From Danielle: Andrew had suddenly asked me to get up and get ready, I put on athletic clothes because he told me we were going to the park. There is a cute park by our old apartment, Evelyn's Park, where we were able to have a glass of wine and sit and chat and then we decided to walk around the park. While we were walking around the park, we were talking about our life together and what we hoped for in the future. There was a point in our walk, when we stopped and hugged for a second and I had a feeling, he was going to ask me, but he didn't. I was surprised, because I definitely thought he was going to propose the following weekend down in Galveston. We continued on our walk, and made it just another half around the park, when he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, I then proceeded to tell him to get up and a very loud "YES!".
