Why did you choose Samford University as the wedding venue?
We chose Samford University because it holds deep personal significance to our families and is a place of great beauty and history. Three generations of the Ray family have attended school at this university and are proud Alumni, including Andrew's parents, Todd and Heather Ray, grandmother, Lynn Ray, and great-grandparents, Wendell and MaryAnne Givens. The legacy they’ve created here makes it a special location for us. The stunning architecture and picturesque campus provide the perfect backdrop for our celebration, blending family tradition with timeless beauty. It’s a place where history, love, and new beginnings all come together, and we couldn’t imagine a more meaningful setting for our wedding.
What time zone will the wedding take place in?
Our wedding will begin in Birmingham, Alabama, at 5:00 PM Central Standard Time (CST). Please make sure to adjust for any time zone differences if you’re traveling from outside the Central Time Zone.
Attire
Think of the attire you might wear for an elegant Easter Sunday celebration—something light, fresh, and spring-inspired. For ladies, long dresses or pantsuits in soft pastel or floral hues would be perfect, while men can opt for smart suits in light, breathable fabrics. We’re aiming for a refined but seasonal look to match the joy of the occasion!
