Our Wedding

We met via Match.com during Covid. Match launched a video platform where you could have a "virtual date" before meeting someone in person and letting them in your "Covid bubble." That call lasted hours, and it was obvious that there was a real potential for something special. Our first in-person date was for coffee downtown, but the cafe had a power outage! So we got to walk and talk on our way to a new spot. Andrew immediately noticed Jenine's beautiful eyes above her mask, and Jenine liked how easy it was to be around Andrew from the start. Jenine challenged Andrew to explore outside of his comfort zone, while Andrew taught Jenine to slow down and enjoy the simpler things in life. Over the next four years, many adventures ensued, from long weekends on the coast of Washington and Oregon to trips to Alaska, Hawaii, and Jamaica. We spent holidays with each other's families. Every trip and activity was better because we did it together. Piper even learned how great it was to have a doggy stepdad! We moved in together after two and a half years, and things just got better! In October, Andrew proposed during a romantic dinner on the beach in Jamaica. Jenine was so excited she didn't hesitate to say yes! Now we are planning our dream destination wedding in Mexico! We cannot wait to share our special day with all of you!

Tiffany and Jenine met at their first nursing job in Alaska out of college. Tiffany broke through Jenine's personal boundaries bubble; and the rest is history! Besties ever since. They have supported one another through relationships, grad school, and all the other things life throws you. being the maid of Honor is just the next big thing :)
Fun fact: Jenine came to Olympia for a "travel assignment" to be there for the birth of Tiffany's daughter, Charlie (AKA the flower girl), but fell in love with the baby and town and decided to stay.

Kristy and Jenine go Way back. They met while attending the community college in their hometown of Soldotna, Alaska. They went through nursing school together in Anchorage, graduating in the same cohort. Though careers had them in long distances apart, they always stayed in touch. The recent shift in Kristy's job brought her to Washington, and they picked back up right where they left off once together again. 
Fun fact: They both LOVE to scuba dive and will definitely be hitting the dive sites in Mexico in June!

Andrew and Nathan met in 2004 when Andrew started a new job in North Carolina. They quickly became friends, bonding over music, hockey, and travel. It's tough to get together often these days living on opposite coasts, but they have regular very long phone conversations. Andrew conducted Nathan and Katie's wedding ceremony, and is honored to now have Nathan be his best man!

Nathan Ryan

Andrew and Cale met in Indiana in graduate school. Their quirky senses of humor and interest in renewable energy drew them to each other, and they quickly became friends. Nowadays they keep in touch with frequent Zoom calls and visits to each other's respective homes. Andrew is thrilled to have Cale stand up for him at his wedding!

Charlie is Tiffany and Stephanie's daughter. She is the reason why Jenine ultimately decided to start in Olympia...which led to meeting Andrew. She loves the water and is practically a fish, so Auntie Jenine can't wait till she is old enough to go scuba diving too.

Cobi is Nathan and Katie's son. He was so excited when he was asked to be in the wedding. There was apparently a lot of bouncing going on! We can't wait to see these two cuties walking down the aisle together!

The scuba diving in the area is magnificent! Andrew and Jenine will plan on doing some diving while there. Check out the Scubaquatic website for more information.

There are Mayan ruins not far away from the resort. Andrew and Jenine will plan on making this trip while there and welcome anyone to come with us!
