Carol is Eric’s longest friend (45 years) and the OG of his besties. Carol and Eric have seen it all together and have always been there for each other through the good and the tough times. Their bond is so strong, of course she would be here to support him as he takes the next steps forward with Andrew in their new marriage.

Clai is the oldest of Eric’s sons and his mini-me. He is a recent college grad, and as if sharing the same looks wasn’t enough, Eric and Clai have a very special bond, sharing the same passions for sarcasm and humor, hard working with a great work ethic, and both cherish and value their family and friends.

One of Eric's closest besties with a shared love of fashion, travel and pop culture... Angela has been a confidant and devoted friend for over 22 years. She also plans events and has been involved with the wedding since the night of their engagement.

Asher is Eric’s youngest son. He, too, has a great work ethic and a very hard worker. And just like his dad, shares a passion for music, pop culture, and they both love animals. Asher is very sweet with a heart of gold and loves hanging out with friends and family.

The eldest of the Rico Siblings, Nate has been the epitome of a big brother. A man of many talents, Nate has taught Andrew how to cook, educated him on house music, and always influenced Andrew to become stronger, more courageous, and more “suave”. Andrew likes to think that he is the gay version of his brother Nate, as many often mistakenly the two to be twins. As if things couldn’t get any better, it is an added blessing that Eric has developed a loving and brotherly relationship with Nate. Andrew and Eric are honored to have Nate serve as a groomsmen for their special day.

Kloey is Andrew’s eldest niece, Nate’s one and only daughter. Such a fine young woman has blossomed right before Andrew’s eyes. The young chubby cabbage patch of a niece that once crawled the carpets of their Evergreen home in Vallejo, has become n eloquent, sassy, smart and beautifully talented dancer. Andrew and Eric are so honored to have Kloey serve as a bridesmaid on their special day.

Jon is Andrew’s second oldest brother. Both Jon and Nate were Andrew’s constant protectors and bodyguards, especially during Andrew’s younger years in Canada. It was during these times that Andrew understood the true meaning of a big brother. Jon’s work ethic, family values, and sense of humor all have rubbed off on Andrew in positive way. Andrew was Jon’s co-best man at his 2022 wedding to LJ, and it’s only fitting that Jon serves as one of Andrew and Eric’s groomsmen.

Sarah is Andrew’s youngest sibling. Their age difference may be seven years, but the experiences they’ve shared indicate otherwise. Like Andrew, Sarah was blessed with the gift of music. She not only sing, but plays piano and guitar. She’s an avid baker, cross fit enthusiast and that is only some of the passions that her huge heart possesses. Without Sarah, Andrew would not be the man he is today. And as an added bonus, Sarah and Eric get along and consider each other their “California Twin.”

Joshua has been one of Eric's closest friends for 15 years and their love of nightlife, fashion and anything artistic has bonded them for life. Considered Eric's gay BFF Josh followed Eric to NYC and never left. These two always find mischief, madness, fun and together they are the life the party. Laughter is their language and they find humor in any situation!

Dereck and Eric became friends at work 16 years ago and they have not missed a beat since. Spotted in Philly hanging out, gathering their friend group or just being together they love each other's company. Dereck and Andrew have gotten to be good friends as well with Dereck visiting them in California several times the past few years.

Brooke and her Uncle Eric have been close since before she was even born as he took their Mom to all her prenatal DR visits. Similar tastes in pop culture, music, the beach and family have made these two lifelong friends. No one can kick it to a Kesha jam like these two. Both of them enjoy each other company immensely and honestly cannot get enough of each other:) Brooke can always make her Uncle smile and laugh and he has the same effect on Brooke:)

Eric's college and then after college best friend Keely has been there for him for over 32 years. Cut from the same cloth with love of design, art and snark these two live on two different coasts but manage to never miss a beat in their friendship. It all started with some clear shoes and striped purple and black socks and the rest is friendship history!!!

Not many people know that Jo-An was the first friend that Andrew made when he moved to California. They attended middle school, high school and even one year at SF State and it wasn’t until Pride 2020 that they found each other again and began a new chapter in their friendship. Andrew was in Jo-An's cotillion back in 2004. They played tennis together, were part of the same friend group and twenty years later found themselves introducing their better halves to each other (Eric and Jorge) entering a brand new chapter after all these years.

Jorge is Jo-An’s fiancé and a very true, and solid friend of Andrew and Eric. Jorge is an amazing athlete, strongly opinionated and very firm and faithful to his friends, family and Jo-An. Andrew and Eric can’t stop laughing at Jorge’s jokes whenever they get together and can’t be more excited to have him by their side on their special day

Eric's nephew made his grand entrance into the world when he was fresh out of college and the two have grown to be not only family but friends as well. Vin has always been stylish, smart and loyal to his loved ones similar to his Uncle. Bonded by the gay gene and the ability to snark at any time, Eric could not be more proud of this incredibly intelligent, thoughtful and driven soon to be DR!

Simone and Andrew have known each other for over 20 years (26 and counting). Throughout their long lasting and eventful friendship, these two have seen the good and the bad, both sides of the train track, the beginning and the end - you name it, these two partners in crime have witnessed it all. Simone is incredibly smart, beautiful and courageous. She never ceases to amaze Andrew. Her sense of humor is one of a kind. And she’s know to make up words that last a lifetime (I.e. Aven). Andrew is beyond thrilled to have Simone be at his side as he takes Eric’s hand into marriage as partners.

Eric's first new friend in California after relocating in 2019, Matt is the life of the party. His best accessory is his smile and they have grown to be close friends. Getting through a pandemic thousands of miles from loved ones is tough but not with a "Matt" there for you being a true friend and confidant and now Andrew has become very close to him as well!

Eric never imagined he would become best friends with this incredibly sweet, caring, hilarious and stylish woman in the Bay Area. Similar in age and all things pop culture (80's twins and siblings separated at birth), these two have so much fun when together and Andrew is just as close now considering her one of his dearest friends as well. Always laughing and her laugh is infectious this trio has a blast and can take on anything together!

Andrew and Joe share a passion for music, as they are both part of the Oakland Gay Men's Chorus. They've been friends since 2019, and in that time - Joe has been such a supportive, protective and an overall joy of a friend to be around. Whenever, Andrew and Joe hang out - it's always a mixture of deep talks, passion sharing, laughter exchange, and girl's gossip. Eric and Andrew so blessed to have Joe be a part of their special day.

Edgar and Eric have bonded as "chorus husbands" and they love to joke and laugh about everything. Edgar is the husband of John, one of Andrew's best friends from chorus. Whenever those four get together, they have nothing but great times. Edgar is the quiet one that causes the most trouble and Eric is usually there stirring the pot. Edgar has shown Eric and Andrew how he is always there for them and time spent together is fun and filled with smiles:)
