This love story began in 2017 when Andrew lived in Baltimore, MD with Gayon (Whitney's cousin & Andrew's best friend). Andrew and Gayon would always have friends & family over on the weekends to have little shindigs of sorts. Whitney was invited a handful of times and according to her, she could tell right away that Andrew was interested. Andrew would always ask if Whitney needed anything and would want to sit right next to her, LOL. Little did Whitney know…she was right, Andrew was interested!
Long story less long, Whitney and Andrew exchanged numbers on a friendly level and Andrew would reach out from time to time and always ended up being the first to say, “okay talk to you later!” with the fear of being left on 'read' (Whitney’s a cute girl, ya know).
So one day Andrew mustered up the courage to ask Whitney out on a date. He suggested they go to lunch at Jojo’s in downtown Frederick and Whitney agreed! Whitney loves this restaurant. However, Andrew didn’t end the conversation with “It’s a date!”, instead he said...”okay it’s a plan”. And Whitney has never let him live that down. It left her confused on if this was a platonic date or a flirty festivity. And that was all part of Andrew’s master plan, keep Whitney guessing until they met up.
The date was going well, Andrew’s charm and undeniable good looks (according to Whitney) were met with beautiful smiles and chuckles at all of Andrew’s corny jokes. And then, they had a visitor…Whitney’s dad walks in smiling from ear to ear, “Oh hey! I didn’t know you two would be here!” Whitney & Andrew both said, “righhhttttt”. It was a super awkward moment but turned out to be so funny in hindsight.
The date ended, Andrew walked Whitney to her car. They headed back to their homes and Andrew just knew they’d be together in this thing called life ever since.
The end ♥️
