FAQs

How do I RSVP?

You can click the RSVP tab and RSVP at any time! We will also include a paper RSVP with the invite if you prefer to mail your RSVP back to us!

What if I don’t RSVP in time?

If you do not RSVP by August 26, you will be marked as “not attending”. We would love to be celebrating with you, however, we have to provide an exact guest count to our vendors and cannot accept late RSVP’s. (This will mean you are not allowed to show up on our special day as there will be no seating, food, or drink accommodations for you.)

Do I get a plus one?

Unfortunately, due to limited capacity, we cannot accommodate everyone. Your invitation will indicate the number amount that is invited per household. If you are persistent on bringing a guest, you can contact the bride or groom and we can try to make it work, but cannot make any guarantees.

Are kids invited?

Your children are more than welcome to come. However, we are encouraging our guests to use our night as a date night away from the kiddos. Please be aware that there will be alcohol and a Dj, so do with this information as you must. ***The music played at the reception may not be suitable for your little ones ears***

Are gifts required?

Absolutely not; while they are greatly appreciated, we are just so thankful you decided to spend the day/night celebrating our love with us. If you feel inclined to gift, please keep in mind that we do have a wedding registry and a honeymoon fund on our wedding website.

What colors should I avoid wearing?

Please reserve hues of green, light grey, ivory, and white for the bride, groom, and wedding party.

What is the dress code?

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us, however, there is no specific dress code. Please wear what you are comfortable in and make sure to wear attire that is appropriate for the weather that day.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outside and the reception will be mostly indoors, but guests will have the option to be outside if they wish.

What time should I arrive?

Because the ceremony begins promptly at 4 PM, we recommend you aim to arrive at least by 3:30 PM to ensure you are seated on time.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

We are having an “unplugged” ceremony. All cellphones should be put away during the ceremony. We want our guests to be 100% present with us at this moment. We spent a lot of money on a photographer who will be present. After the ceremony, please feel free to take as many pictures as you please as long as you promise to send them to us at the end of the night!

Will there be transportation to and from the hotel?

Yes! Diamond Oak Events provides a shuttle to and from the designated hotel, which is Best Western in Clear Lake. (Shuttle times to come)

What are my reception dinner options?

Dinner will consist of a choice of pork loin in au jus, baked ham, or chicken breast in wild rice with a side of cheesy hashbrowns, green beans, and a dinner roll. There will also be a choice of seven different salads, which include taco, ceasar, broccoli cauliflower, fruit, pasta, potato, and cottage cheese.

What beverages are available?

TBD

Can I post on social media once the knot is tied?

Once the bride and groom have had a chance to announce to the world that the knot is tied, feel free to post. Please refrain from posting pictures of the wedding until then. We spent a lot of time and money planning this event; please respect our big moment and allow us the honor of unveiling that to the world.
