Our story begins on June 4th, 2022. We decided to meet in Laguna Beach at the Top of the World trail for a quick two-mile hike. We quickly got lost in conversation and ended up walking 3.5 miles down to Victoria Beach.

After a seven-mile trek round trip, a spontaneous dip in the ocean (fully clothed), and Andrew nearly losing his hat and his shoes to a rogue wave, the two of us hit it off instantly. By the end of that day, we were already planning our next adventure for the following weekend.

When summer ended, Madison moved to Washington, and we decided to give long distance a try. Not long after, Andrew deployed, stretching the distance even further. We learned that a 17-hour time difference was challenging but possible, and 6 months later, we were back in California together for another fun summer.

Andrew got out of the Marine Corps, and Andrew moved to Washington for school, and suddenly, we were just ten short miles apart. Weekends quickly became ours, and not long after, so did our home.

Since then, we've shared countless adventures—and on June 20th, 2025, three years after that unforgettable hike, we got engaged in the very same city where it all began.
