Travel to the wedding venue

The wedding ceremony and reception will be at The Songbird Retreat in Mathesons Bay, Leigh. There are very limited parking spaces at the venue, as well as limited street parking, so please arrange transport like taxis or shuttle vans.

Travel from the wedding venue

There will be a bus service taking guests back to Leigh, Omaha, and Matakana. If you said in your RSVP that you were staying in any of these towns, there will be space for you. The bus will be arriving at 10:45 PM and leaving at 11:00 PM.

The drop-off points are:

If your accommodation is en route between the drop-off points, you can also just let the driver know where that is. They should be able to drop you off on the way.

Very important note about Saturday traffic:

Our florist did a wedding up in Leigh recently and said that the traffic on the Saturday from Auckland up to Leigh was really bad between Auckland and Matakana. This is because of the Saturday Matakana markets.

If you're travelling up from Auckland, please try to factor this into your travel time. It took her around two hours to get from Auckland to Matakana. Between Matakana and Leigh it was absolutely fine, as it was people travelling to the Matakana markets causing the traffic!
