Anie and Gabe met in 2017 in Morgantown, WV. Gabe was a nurse extern at Ruby Memorial Hospital, and Anie was his mentor. However, they thought of each other only as professional acquaintances at that time. Gabe ended up taking a job as a nurse on the same floor as Anie a year later, and they became co-workers. They started as friends and were hanging out in the same friend group for a couple of months... until it blossomed into something more. Anie made the first move, and their first date was breakfast at iHop. On their second date, Gabe made Anie breakfast for dinner. There seems to be a recurring theme here! After the second date, they became inseparable. Anie often says adoringly, "we started hanging out and just never stopped." Since then, they have enjoyed multiple trips around West Virginia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Florida, Maryland, and Delaware. They are really looking forward to travel more in the coming years as the pandemic (hopefully) calms down. They enjoy cooking together, trying new restaurants and bars, running, biking, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends. Anyone who knows them knows that they love the simple things in life and just enjoy being together. They are so excited to start this next chapter of their lives.
