See Bilbao from a unique perspective, travelling along the Nervión river from the centre to the estuary. The boats have an open and a closed deck and a small bar and toilets.

Where to eat

Try some of the famous Basque Pintxos in the Plaza Nueva. These small snacks are served in bars around the square, located in the Casco Viejo. Start off in the Gure Toki, have a drink and pintxo or two before continuing your way round the square trying different pintxos.

Head to the Ledesma street in the centre of town for a lively street of bars with outdoor seating. Try El Puertito for oysters with Txakoli wine, this slightly sparkling dry white wine produced in the Basque region.

For fine dining, you can try the Bocoy in Ledesma, the Zarate in Licenciado Poza and many others. For txuleta (Basque term for a large rib steak), Amaren in Calle Diputacion or Txakoli Simon in Artxanda.
