How It Started:
After a few weeks on Bumble, there was a match. Angel was asleep at Rebecca's house after a night full of partying and borrowing hay bales. Nick was passed out at Tyler's after a night of partying and drinking with the guys. According to them, Nick had “no shot,” but he drunk-texted Angel anyway.
He responded to her prompt, “What is your dream job?” with “A cop.”
In true Angel fashion, she immediately asked if Nick wanted to get married and have kids. His answers must have been the right ones… considering you’re reading this today!
The First Date:
After work, Angel and Nick met at Akron Falls. Both of their families were convinced the other was a serial killer waiting to hide a body in the woods, but they went anyway.
After walking and talking for hours, they realized these were the easiest, deepest conversations either of them had ever had. Nick surprised Angel with a bouquet of flowers after their walk, and even as the sun started to set, neither of them wanted the night to end.
They ended up at a little bar called Marvin’s for wings, drinks, and an impromptu meet-and-greet with Tyler and a few friends. When the night finally ended, Nick texted Angel as soon as he got home — and she did the same.
Becoming a Couple:
Believe it or not, they made it official just two days later. After their first sleepover and a whole day spent falling in love with each other and with Nick’s little town. It was clear that it was the beginning of forever.
The Proposal:
Nick rushed Angel to get ready for dinner, telling her they had to be ready 30 minutes before the reservation. Angel was then pushed out the door and Nick led her on a walk toward the water at Rocking Horse Ranch. Angel kept asking what they were doing — and then she saw it.
Rose petals on the ground. Photos of them strung between the trees. Bubbles floating in the air around dancing candles and twinkling lights.
Nick got down on one knee. Angel immediately started bawling. After his beautiful speech, he asked her to marry him. She said yes — then, still sobbing, blurted out, “What the fuck?”
At that exact moment, Mike popped out of the lake yelling “Congratulations!” He climbed out from behind a rock, pants rolled up, no shoes, and still managed to catch the whole moment on video.
Forever:
Long before the wedding day arrives, Nick and Angel feel like their forever already started — in the laughter on their first date, in the effortless conversations, and in the way everything just felt right from the very beginning. Every day since has been another reminder that they were meant to find each other exactly when they did.
They’ve built a life filled with joy, comfort, and the kind of love that makes even the simplest moments feel special. As they count down to saying “I do,” they aren’t just looking forward to a single day — they’re looking forward to a lifetime of choosing each other, supporting each other, and growing together.
Their forever isn’t just something they’re stepping into. It’s something they’ve already begun, and they can’t wait to continue that journey hand in hand as husband and wife.
