It started with a tap of a heart, and little did we know we would take each other's.

Our first date was simple; we had a glass of wine, and the conversation was so good we ended up finishing a bottle. For the record, we highly recommend Francis Coppola Cabernet Sauvignon.

We knew there’d be a second date.

The weeks that followed included dinners, drinks, mini golf and Jays games. Eventually, those were not enough, and we looked at spending entire days together. We had a random “Fun Day” in Toronto where we walked the St. Lawerence Market, the Distillery District, had a couple drinks by the lake, and took an evening cruise on the Kajama. After this, we both knew this was something special - the kind of special you wait your whole life for.

The fun continued! One memory we are both fond of is taking a day trip to Niagara Falls and acting like our parents. We went to Clifton Hill for the Skywheel, Dino golf, Virtual 4d rides, the Niagara Brewing company, the Casino, and the actual Falls…..we did it all!

This was followed by “nerve-wracking” first meetings with family… but we quickly realized that our families were quite similar, and everything was easy.

Our first Christmas together was magical. We had family events, went to Christmas markets, and embraced the cold.

We decided to take a trip to Florida which included Fort Lauderdale, Universal Studios, Disney Springs, and Dunedin for Spring Training. It was a great trip and we just grew more in love!

In the months that followed, we continued to have as much fun as we could. We went to multiple concerts, Jays games, Caribana, shopping trips to Buffalo and New York…that’s just to name a few. Everything was not always perfect though, both families suffered significant losses throughout the year, and it taught us how to help each other through tough times, remember that time on this Earth is only temporary, and reinforced making everyday count.

Niagara Falls has many fond memories, not just to us, but for our families. On January 13th, 2023, on the Niagara Skywheel, Kevin got down on one knee and asked Angela to marry him. She instantly said yes. After all these years, it was worth the wait, and we look forward to what the future has in store.
