We met back in 2015 as "rookies" in the Glenvar High School Marching Band; however, it was be three years after our meeting that we began dating. At the summer 2017 band camp, we became close friends, which by April 2018 blossomed into a relationship. After being together for nearly seven years, we have been through many ups and downs. Sadly, we have both lost grandparents and loved ones these past few years but we have also acquired many accomplishments.

Austin is now a Systems Administrator for Friendship Retirement Community. As this is an IT role, he is in charge of the systems and networks at all four retirement communities that Friendship owns. He is also currently working towards his Bachelors of Science in Cybersecurity from Old Dominion University.

Angela, on the other hand, has recently graduated from Virginia Tech with Summa Cum Laude honors as a double major in Professional and Technical Writing and English: Pre-Law with a minor in literature. She is currently working as a Digital Marketing Specialist Intern for LeadPoint Digital in Roanoke, VA, and starts her M.A. in English this fall as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA).
