Our love story was written by God as if we were in a movie or teleserye, as our friends usually say.

In the beginning, John and Angelene were complete strangers looking for love, jokesss. They were simply two individuals living their lives to the fullest, with John immersed in his business and Angelene pursuing her career. But one ordinary day at BPI Sta. Rosa Laguna Branch, as Angelene walked towards her red car, she unknowingly caught John’s gaze. John was instantly mesmerized by Angelene’s beauty and grace (clearly, alam mo na sino nagsulat nito haha). Then, they lived happily ever after. Well, of course not that agad.

John, casually dressed in his sando and shorts, was at the branch awaiting his client's response and fund transfer for his project. Meanwhile, Angelene, who was wearing a black top with checkered layers and black pants and with her glasses on, had just deposited some money into her account and hurriedly left.

As John watched her walk away, he said to himself that “she’s the one for him” and that he would meet her again soon. **Kiligz**

Surprisingly, just a few days after, or exactly on September 28, 2017, out of the bluest blue, they met again in a photocopy shop. Was it tadhana? Maybe. Was John stalking Angelene? Of course not haha. Was it part of the Lord’s plan? Definitely.

During their second encounter, John finally mustered the courage to introduce himself to Angelene. He said, “Hi miss, ako nga pala si John, nakita kita sa BPI last time, janitor kasi ako dun.” Angelene was surprised, at the same time confused, and replied to him seriously, not realizing that John was joking.

On a side note, admittedly, Angelene’s attention was also drawn when John arrived but she did not know the reason. Napatingin lang siya ganun di niya alam bakit. Now, she knows haha.

John nervously introduced his business, Artifist. Angelene was quietly impressed by his artistic portfolio and unique printing style. They chatted briefly but soon parted ways, each resuming their day's agenda.

Naging sila ba agad? Hindi po hehe. A lot of things had happened, but the most important one was that the Lord had made Angelene and John friends for several years before they started dating. There were times when they decided to stop talking or seeing each other, but the Lord always found a way to make them meet unexpectedly, much to their surprise. Really, nagugulat talaga kami nagkikita kami out of the blue. Then, ayun friends na ulit.

Fast forward to January 28, 2020, they officially entered into a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship, the first time for both John and Angelene. They faced numerous challenges, including John striving to keep his business afloat during the COVID-19 pandemic and Angelene's rigorous journey through law school. Despite the challenges they faced, they never gave up on supporting and fighting for one another.

Together, they serve the LORD in Jesus Aking Panginoon Church – Angelene as a music minister and John in the broadcasting ministry. Their shared faith and commitment to service further strengthened their bond.
